Emperor's Furor Posted January 30, 2015 Share Posted January 30, 2015 So I was looking through the Alpha Legion rules and noticed the Alpha Legion has banestrike ammo for heavy bolters, however this appears to only be available to the headhunter squad who can take a suspensor heavy bolter with banestrike. I was thinking though perhaps this could be opened up a bit more, maybe a contemptor dreadnought could have it. It's not game breaking in fact the Kheres is obviously better but I've always thought heavy bolters in general were poor when there's other options available but they have the benefit of usually being cheaper, and personally I love the way they look (still love the image of the iron hands contemptor with heavy bolter in collected visions) It's not a major change but I think it would be fairly fluffy and help with selling heavy bolters for contemptor which I've always assumed were the least popular choice due to the other weapons available.
