House Cadmus

Howdy everyone :)

A long, long time ago, I did create an account for this forum.

After that creation, I forgot about it and admittedly left it alone, to sleep a postless sleep ;)

Anyway, time to change that. As introduction, here are some pics of my 2014 WK40 projekt: Imperial Knight Household Cadmus:

I count 12 knights: 2 Paladins, 3 Errants, 2 Converted GW knights, 1 each of the two Questoris variants, and 1 each of the three Cerastus variants.

Should be just a few hundred under 5000 points. It's probably at least double the amount of Knights I've seen together in one picture before. Nicely painted too and on a kickass gaming board.

I'm officially jealous.

Thanks for the kind words everyone :smile.:

@Tanhausen> Reinhard is right...just 12 Knights (by now....4 more are in the making  ).

@Reinhard> You don't have to be jealous....I heard Games Workshop has so many Knight kits, that they even sell them. I cannot see the slightest reason why they should not sell them to you :biggrin.::tongue.:

Okay, but on a halfway more serious note:

Yep, somewhat below 5000 points, according to GW rules (assuming that the 2 Anti Air Knights will end up point wise like their counterparts).

With the Forgeworld list (which allows various abilities and equipment to be bought for the Knights), they can surpass the 5000 mark.

Oh yeah, and as I mentioned the Forgeworld List:

This list also allows a "Lord of War", and it would be a shame letting that slot go to waste.

So, I though I might add this guy here as LOW choice (also, a "Warlord" as "Lord of War" just sounds too fitting  ):

(I did acutally chose the Cadmus colour scheme as I wanted my Knights to halfway match my Warlords colour scheme)

Just noticed I still owe you a reply.

Okay, first thanks for the praise :smile.:

Second: About the inquiry how the Warlord was made:

It's a scratch built model. A solid, wooden frame (torso is detechable from the legs, making transport easier), and then it was Kit Bash, Kit Bash, Kit Bash, etc... Toys, Model train scenery, 2 Matrix "Mifunes last stand" Deluxe Action Figures, a Matrix Sentinel Deluxe Action Figure, 2 Anakin Podracer, several Perry Rhodan starship model kits, and whatnot went into it's creation. The insignia (Crux Terminatus, Adeptus Mechanicus) are all original FW, btw, no bootleg copies.

Height is 110 cm, and weight somewhat between 25-30kg.

About the close up of the AA Knight: Will get some pics, though it might take a while.

Have to do it in the daylight, and - right now- I have to leave for my job before sunrise, and return after sunset :sad.:

As I saw the knights, which are extremely impressive, my final thought was, "he should have a titan of some kind to lead them!"  So I was hoping for a Warhound or a Reaver and then you go and drop the Warlord on us.  :cuss, that's impressive...

exetus>Warhounds are still not off my list. But I would not use the FW one, but rather scratch built them myself (They would rather be 40cm high, fitting the scale of my Warlord. Which I acutally calculated using an old comic, when Warlords still had battleship like briges, manned by the Princeps and 4 Moderati. In fact, the Warlord does hold such a crew of 5  ).

(Also wanted to add little shrines with the remains of previous crews  )

I just noticed I have not posted a pic of the Titans back yet (that's were the most details are, the front is rather plain).

Also, the back openes for a little generator room:

And...as you mentioned the Warlord should lead the Knights, I still got that pic on my HD (cannot take pics of my household in full strength right now, as four Knights are on display at a LGS. But this old pic contained most of them, and the "not quite ready yet"-ones are in the last rows, where the incompletion is hidden. Guess that should make that pic okay of the "finished models" galleries

It's funny to see how the scale has changed somewhat over the years, because I remember when Warlords were stupid big (like they're still not...) as well, especially in what?  Inferno?  I like all the various representations of them, however, and I remember seeing yours at some point in the past.  The other three that I love are (in no particular order):

-The Chaos Warlord at the Siege of Terra display

-Blackadder's ridiculous one that's full interior as well

-Dave Smith's Warlord
