ROBOcaster
Are Imperial Knights allowed to be played in 30k, and if so what book would they be in or would I just use C:IK? I just picked one up because I really wanted to paint one, would be nice If i could actually use him in games. Atia
Yep =) You can have up to 14 Knights and one Titan in your Questoris Knights Army list (the hq to heavy support choices are made by different ranks) and you have your own Warlord Traits (you can use the Knights as allied choices too, aswell as LoW for Solar Auxilia and Taghmata Omnissiah) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/303017-imperial-knights/#findComment-3940366 Share on other sites
RandomMarine
A arbelest styrix is absolute filth. Tankhunter skyfire and interceptor s8 ap3 heavy5 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/303017-imperial-knights/#findComment-3941352 Share on other sites
Hesh Kadesh
"filth"; it's good, it's worth it for Tank Hunter - but with 2.5 Hull points against a legion flyer, it's hardly the bees knees. The Castigator gets 2.9 Hull points, while the Cerastus does 2.2, but is AP2 and one of those glances are penetrating hits on average allowing for potential destroyed. Unless facing other Super Heavies, I find the Cerastus is the best. Deflagrate sweep attack with a 34" perimeter base, means around 17" can be in contact with (32mm base size marines) around 14 models. Sweep Attack = autohit, wounding on 2's = 12 wounds, saves = assuming 4+ = 6 dead and 6 more autohit, 5 wounds, and 2.5 saves = 8.5 dead. Assuming they're terminators, that is about 240-255pts made back in one phase. librisrouge
Yeah, the Castigator is, in fact, the bees knees. Great gun and great weapon. Its only downer, compared to other knights, is the lack of a second gun to give it charge options. *This posting brought to you by the fact that I felt like typing 'the bees knees' today.* Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/303017-imperial-knights/#findComment-3941453 Share on other sites
RandomMarine
Im not really a fan of the lancer body type so ill stick to my styrix in the heavy slot until the castellan class makes a appearance Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/303017-imperial-knights/#findComment-3941622 Share on other sites
