Alright, well thanks for the replies everyone.

 

I am updating this with the picture of my Sanguinary High Priest for my Sanguinary Crusaders (since it was who it was about for me).

It is kind of hard to see, but he does have fangs.

 

Anyways, what do you all think?

A few pages in, there's a topic on Scout heads and yes, the bare ones do fit on Scouts. Alternatively, use them on your Death Company.

 

My Priests are red with white Apothecary bits. If I ever buy the new Priest, I'll probably go for a white robe with red blood drops round the pleats (or something from Naruto Shippuden).

 

A Death Mask would signal out your Priest and Chaplain as a high one (and historically, both could have that item as an upgrade anyway). As for the bodies, it's up to you as it's your force. If it looks good to you, then go for it. If you're really stuck, blu-tac it, take a photo and post it up for some C&C in a blog.

 

Hand priming should be fine if 1) it's thinned and 2) it's not skull white.

The only problem with using the death mask on the priest is that I think that the back neck thing would get in the way.

Well, "fit" is a relative term.  You can cram those heads into a scout torso after drilling out a sizable hole, and the end result will look good, yes.

i like him^^ both gold and white aren't that easy to paint =) also, i like the idea of using gold to represent a higher ranked Priest :P keep it up!

Thanks. I was worried at first about what colors to do. I had several different schemes I wanted to try, but I generally like the way this one turned out. I almost did a death Mask, but it wouldn't fit right, and I really wanted to use the fanged head, and I liked the pose when the head fit in there.
