I finally finished one of the models I got from Victoria minatures. When they are all complete I will use the unit as veterans with 3x melta and camo cloaks. He looks pretty good, here are the pics

Thanks guys! He only took me ~3 hours, and now that I know the scheme I can probably paint one of these up every 2 hours so hopefully I'll be done in a couple of weeks. I'm very excited to finish the squad! Do you think a green shirt would look better than brown?

They require a bit of cleaning up as there is a lot of flash. I simply scrubbed each model with an old toothbrush when it was assembled and that cleaned them up in a matter of seconds. I recommend testing the fit of all the parts first, as I made the mistake of applying glue before seeing if the arm would fit and ended up having to scrape glue off the parts and get a different set of arms that actually fitted with the body. I used superglue, which seemed to work pretty well, as I ordered a mix of resin and plastic parts. Also, don't snap parts off the sprue! I made that mistake and one poor guardsman ended up losing his foot. Finally, be careful with the parts as some are pretty delicate. Good luck Chef!

Wow!

A Catachan who looks human :) Not an army of Arnolds.

Anyhow, I like the brown, it goes well with green and jungle theme.

Either some black stripes or dots if you want something on the shirt.

The green on the cape is a bit bright for my taste. I would personally use Agrax Earth shade over the green and brown. This will mesh the colors more with each other, and make it more "natural".

Keep em coming, I'll be following.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

@CoffeeGrunt You should definitely get some, they may be expensive but they're totally worth it!

@Vash I'll try an Agrax Earthshade wash over the cloak and post pics of how it turns out.

Also, when I get time I'll post a comparison pic between this guy and a normal Catachan so you guys can appreciate just how different they are!

Alright, I've put an agrax earthshade wash on the cloak (it looks great!) and I took a comparison pic to show you guys just how ridiculous ordinary Catachans look compared to a normal scaled model. Here are the pics:

That Agrax toned down the green to a more natural hue.

Agrax is a great wash for your colors you have chosen for your mini.

You could basically paint all the basic colours, then add a Agrax wash all over them at the same time. The go back with some minor highlights and details.
