Blood Angels Chariot?

Emperor's Furor

Does anyone else really like the idea of it? what do you think it could do if they put it into the game? I imagine it would be like a 40k attack bike but as a skimmer variant, perhaps a melee platform as opposed to a gun platform like land speeders.

Well, it'd probably be altered quite a bit to bring it in line with the 30k aesthetic FW has established.

I'd imagine the chariot would be re-imagined as a 2-seater jetbike, with some kind of armoured cowling protecting the passenger's legs from the front. In terms of melee/ ranged, you could spin it either way - I think it'd be cool if the passenger could be equipped with one of the shoulder-mounted heavy weapons, which could be fired independently, so you coud have a squad of lascannon-equiped jetbikes effectively. On the other hand, giving the passenger some kind of lance / halberd would work.

The only problem would be, what weapon could you handle on there?

I'd assume you wouldn't be able to use a heavy weapon because of unstable footing and speed.

I'd also assume it would be hard to use special weapons like a plasma gun or melta on there a it seems you need a hand to hold on.

It would be kinda silly to have a chariot that you can only reliably shoot a pistol or bolter out of when you can get something better in the form of a scimitar jetbike.

Ehh I prefer the chariot look and feel. You could at least wield a CCW.

It would be nice if they got some sort of Necron chariot sweep rule where you could have the bike go over a unit and inflict attacks equal to the model's profile without retaliation.

I know I'll get flamed for this, but I guess a good place to start would be to look at how the new Harlequin jet bikes look with the rider on the back.
