IF Archamus?

AFAIK, he was the leader of Dorns Huscalrs aka Honor Guard aka Body Guards.

That means...

WE MIGHT GET A DEDICATED TERMINATOR UNIT WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

All supposition and wishful thinking though; we already have 2 decent quasi-TEQ units in the Templars and Warders.

All I can picture when I think about that is Greyall's Pramus Kholosk http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/310/8/9/imperial_fists___pramus_kholosk_by_greyall-d5k5wz3.jpg

but with (Solarite?) Power Fist & Storm Shield.

Would be cool as if you included him in a unit with Dorn, Dorn's invul save improved by 1 point or something. Kinda Bodyguard-type rule biggrin.png

You can do that with the new Carapace Mounted gear for the Deredeo :p it improves invulns by 1 to a maximum of 3+ in a 6" bubble, iirc.

Yea Slips I see that working really well in conjunction with Termies or Boarding shield wielders.

Oh, if we must bear the burden of another dedicated IF squad, then we must.

He is mentioned in Lightening Tower as the commander of Dorn's Huscarls which I assume are his personal guard from they way he is shown. I know that's been said above but I thought I would reference the name of the audiobook. Anyway, I think it's safe to assume he is fairly highranking since we see him attending a meeting and the only other Fist present is the First Captain. It would be really nice to learn some more about the IF's disposition and units I mean right now we have names and knowledge of what many of them do post heresy; Sigismund, Pollox, Raan but very little else. There was a little in Templar but it only wet my appitite.

Wait so Sigismund is the First Captain...this mysterious figure is the Third Captain.

Polux is the 405th Captain. Any idea who is the Second Captain?

Camba-Diaz, the Captain that was sent to Mars with Sigismund. Apparently he is much cooler headed and tactical that Siggy (his own words..).

It would be nice to see him as a character with rules etc.

To be honest it would be super cool to get a full book, not just novella on the imperial fists, most other legions now have at least one or more, except Night Lords maybe... would be epic to see Pollux go questing out for Terra from Imperium Secundus, or some plot of sabotage being put down on Terra, or an epic battle not-yet-known-about, or even the Fists role in Tallarn delved into. I dunno, just feels like they are missing some mega opportunities with em. no doubt they will eventually get their hay-day with the Battle of Terra.... but that is a long wait....

I think it's generally accepted that many captains are more level headed than Sigismund. In Lightening Tower he looks as though he is about to kill and archetict for calling Dorn by his given name. I also think Pollox mentions it in Crimson Fist something along the lines of Tyr being volitile like Sigismund. Now I think we did get a lengthy breakdown of Captains names in Flight of the Eisenstein didn't we? But I agree the Fists definitely need more love. If you've not listented to it though I would really recomend Templar.

I prefer stoic zealotry.

What is this, the Crimson Fists Legion? Get out of here.

@Deus: While I'm one of those who prefers his Legions to be a bit more uniform in color (this isn't, after all, 40k), the general opinion is that color variations are more than acceptable (usually using the argument that this isn't 40k as well, confound it). So an Imperial Fists Templar could look as close to their later colors as they like, if that's the modeler/painter's choice.

Personally, the Templars as depicted in the artwork you have as your avatar is the best depiction of the Templars I've seen for 30k.

But we have Templars.... And they do wear black armor...

Imperial Fists Templars still wear legion colours they're just marked out by tabbards and that they are the ones who guard the Temple of Oaths aboard Phalanx.

Sorry to say, but Forge World appear to think differently:
