Kydoimos
Hi everyone, It's been a long time since I've been posting here but here I am again and this time, with a 3 000 points list : QG [iH] Iron-Father Autek Mor : 225 pts - Rite of war : The Head of the Gorgon [iH] Spearhead-Centurion Castrmen Orth : 80 ptsTROUPES Legion Tactical Squad (10) : 210 pts - Vexilla - Sergeant : Melta-bombs, Artificer Armour - Legion Rhino Armoured Carrier Legion Tactical Squad (10) : 210 pts - Vexilla - Sergeant : Melta-bombs, Artificer Armour - Legion Rhino Armoured Carrier Legion Breacher Siege Squad (20) : 355 pts - 3 Volkite Charger - Sergeant : Breaching charge, Melta-bombsELITE [iH] Gorgon terminator Squad (10) : 795 pts - 2 Graviton gun, 3 Chainfist - Hammerbearer : Cyber-familiar - Spartan assault tank : Armoured ceramite, Flare Shield, [iH] Blessed Autosimulacra Contemptor-Mortis Dreadnought : 190 pts - Two Kheres pattern assault cannon, [iH] Blessed Autosimulacra Apothecarion Detachment : 70 pts - Volkite Charger, Augury scanner, Artificer ArmourSOUTIEN Legion Sicaran battle tank : 205 pts - Lascannon, Armoured ceramite, [iH] Blessed Autosimulacra Legion Predator Strike Armour Squadron (3) : 420 pts - Executioner plasma destroyer, Armoured ceramite, [iH] Blessed Autosimulacra Legion Fire Raptor gunship : 240 pts - Reaper autocannon battery, Armoured ceramite, [iH] Blessed AutosimulacraTotal : 3000 points Basically, I start with the Breachers, the Apothecary and the Dread on the table. All other armoured units are in reserve, waiting to outflank turn 2. Simple strategy isn'y it ? :) The list is based on the rule of cool : I chose the units I wanted to play (Dread, Gorgons, Fire Raptor, Spartan, Breachers). But I'm also looking at some efficiency. I therefore have two questions : - are 10 Gorgons too much ? I really hope to make some damage with this unit during an assault (Mor inside!), but could 6 or 7 of them be enough ? - do I have enough troops ? Knowing the fragility of HH units (no ATSKNF), I'm wondering if I should field more Tacticals or other troop units. Critics and suggestions all welcome! ROBOcaster
Looks like a lot of fun, and very cool. Only thing I would do is maybe find some points for have a bare bones tac squad to hold an objective in the back field, I run one "base of fire" and one "maneuver" tactical squad one goes to get into fights while the other chills in the back field drinking from their canteens while pulling security. Doing that could give you more points to put into your Gorgons maybe. But really the list looks solid full of fire power and I'm sure its gonna be a blast to play. Kydoimos
Thanks for your feedback. You're right about a backfield unit ; in fact, I was planning to use the Breachers in this role. Putting them in a ruin or somewhere rather safe and checking in whoever tries to come too close to my deployment zone. I could put them in the Spartan, though but I really want to play the Gorgons. ROBOcaster
Play with what is going to be more fun, IMO Gorgons in a spartan are more fun than Breachers in a spartan, keep your breachers in back like your original plan then outflank with a Spartan full of Gorgons and mess up your opponents day.
