Frostmourne Project Log

Haha. Reading up on Sistsers rules and they seem pretty fun!

Could go well with a UM force.

I'm literally waiting on plastic sisters / codex so spend INSANE amounts of money on them instantly and without regret.

Guess the Sisters of Silence will have to do for now :P

A mini army of sub-Culexus assassins. Yum. Too bad they're not around in 40k v_v

There are a few guys in my local town who are a bit... almost desperate for some plastic SoB, which has always put me off them. But now i have read their rules i am quite up for that.

Just need to work out the logistics and fluff of what characters would be there reasonably, and can i legally add an Inquisitor.

Plastic sisters would be amazing, I really don't get GWs hesitation with them. I remember how I got into the hobby, I was at a model rail exhibition with my grandad and this guy had a stand with a Witchhunters army against a Dark Eldar army, with the books layed out in front, and I was hooked from there. 10 years ago, maybe 11 now, crazy. I'd love some SoB just for the nostalgia. Still love DE too, but I'm pretty much exclusively heresy now I think.

Yeah same man, alot of the Xenos and Chaos of 40k just bores me. Although iam getting a Harlequin Force for another narrative campaign later in the year.

And people always have that affinity for thier first models, like mine was Plague Marines, which i used for like 4 editions!

Sisters of Battle are expensive, as harsh as it sounds i may have to mug a guy off of Wargaming Trading or something lol

Thanks Lion of Judah! Great to hear good feedback.

Frost just stop fighting everyone on this and get some Volk LR you wont regret it and you then allow all of us to live vicariously through you.

But more seriously, I would take some SA 2 Lasrifle sections, and 1 support section or storm section. They are all troops to help with point scoring, they look great, and have decent combat ability. With those three choices you have infantry to support your already large armor force, and with all the upgrades taken for each squad it should put you at about 500 points.

EDIT: 2 LR Sections and 1 Strom Section fully kitted out with power weapons, Metabombs, Troop masters and the like are 480pts.

EDIT: Removed troop masters, and added ADL even 500pts.

Dropping the ADL and power weapons and you can squeeze in a solar auxilia command section with 2 grenade launchers for 85 points :) also gives you an orbital bombardment. As a IV Legion representative I have to point out the option for artillery at every opportunity.

Boom right there Reys on point again.

I myself went for 750 points of ally not 500 so I bring a Malcador and Tank Commander but for your 500pts I think Reys right on the money there.

This thread is giving me ideas about buying solar auxilia. Dang. Mmm Malcador tanks...

They are very nice the hardest part of the kit is deciding which one you want. I sat on the phone with the sales rep for about 5-10 minutes asking about stats and this vs that. Guys was real swell though and made me feel confident in my choice.

Yeah the Guys at FW are a good bunch, sorted out every problem i have ever had with them and they always chat about my hobby and what i am up to and what they are, its nice.

Dracosans are pretty sick, i would love some.

But im thinking 2 Storm Sections with Volkites, behind 2 ADL with a Legate Commander with some bits should be enough for my meat shields and give me some horde killing power.
