Twipp
Hi all, fast question? I was thinking to buy an Imperial Knight model and looked some pics and videos about it, but did not get solid information if its doable to swap its weapon arms without magnetising them? So can you swap the weapons of that model or are the weapons needed to glue in? Never been a big fan of using magnets but this time the model is so big and costly so chance to swap weapon arms, if needed, seems like a good idea. Not sure if this is a right forum for asking this but I am a wolfy player and follow only this section here. Last couple of games have left my troops broken and I am hoping that Imperial Knights firepower would help me a bit here. :) + Painting a Knight would be refreshing. Thank you all. Grotsmasha
I don't know about the FW knights (they appear to be the same) but yes, the arms are swap-able without the need for magnetization. Stoic Raptor
I used to have an Armorcast Warhound and one of the nice features was that the weapons arms literally bolted on. Take off the top carapace, unscrew the bolt and swap arms, dead easy. Hopefully the Knights are at least as easy, I'm sure I'll eventually want to replace my tiny Titan. Yoyo ninja
You will need to get a spare arm from somewhere to swap it with out magnets but it's doable. I magnatised mine and it's pretty easy but the arm swap would be easy too if that's how you want to do it. Ulrik_Ironfist
I magnetized mine, since you get two weapons, but only one arm. Magnetizing it is super easy, and if you get good magnets, it won't fall off. I used a high strength magnet in the arm itself, and one in the RF BC, and then used magnetic strip in the TC. Works fine. Other than that, you'd need to get a spare arm from someone. I can't afford a second knight, when I can, I want to do a fist instead of a reaper chainsword.
