So it ended up being my Space wolves, and my mates Eldar vs two guys we have not played before but plan on starting a league with.

They played Tau and Dark Angels

2 warlords per team.

Night fighting

I hope they want to play us again lol.

It was not much of a fun game for the other team.

we scored every objective we drew and also got x2 warlord kills, first blood and line breaker.

Final score 7-0, to us, DA and Tau Tabled turn three.

Tau and DA deployed first and had first turn.

they divided their forces across the long table edge.

da one side and tau the other.

Wolves and eldar deployed on the right side across from the DA blocking most line of sight from the tau on the other side of the table.

Turn one they opened up into my TWC and wolf lord and the eldar war walkers coming behind them.

All of their shooting went into these units.

All saves made except for a hull point against one walker and 1 wound on a TWC.

Our turn 1.

Void claws with arjac deep struck in beside DA whirlwind.

Melta dread dropped in deployed beside the DA vindicator, using it to block Tau line of sight to him. and the drop pod directly in front of the vindicator. Leaving it only one thing to shoot.

TWC run up into charge range of the DA scouts.

Eldar moved is 2 wave serpents to target the DA, his jetbikes moved to secure the objective on our card.

Eldar shoot scouts killing 2

and shooting Dev squad killing all but the sarg.

Arjac explodes the whirlwind

Dread imobilizes the vindicator.

Thunderwolves fail charge by 1 inch.

Turn 2

Tau kill 2 thunderwolves, take a hull point from a wave serpent....... thats it.

Vindi kills the Drop pod. (The only unit I lost all game)

our Turn 2.

Warp sipiders? deepstrike on target behind the riptide and take 2 wounds off it.

his walkers bikes and wave serpents, kill the remaining devestator, take a hull point off a razor back.

kills some kroot and takes a hull point of the hammerhead? with longstrike upgrade.

arjac splits from the voids to attack the razorback with the void claws head to the tac marines and chapter master that came out of the razor back.

storm wolf comes in and ftakes 2? hullpoints off the hammerhead.

thunder wolves charges some battle suits of some kind, instant killing all three.

void claws charge the tacs and chapter master killing the entire unit, knocking voids claws down to 3

Arjac charges the razorback killing it.

Dread charges the vindicator killing it.

Not looking good for the DA and Tau.

Turn three.

DA Dread shoots my voids claws killing one.

Riptides kills 1 wave serpent.

battle suits and the suits with the tau lord kill 5 of a unit of eldar, no idea what they were. Troops of some kind.

Our turn three

Storm wolf shoots and kills the Tau warlord unit and the hell frost kills 7 fire warriors.

dreadnaught kills another fire warrior

Arjac charges the DA dread killing it.

Thunderwolves kill the remaining DA scout

eldar finishes off the riptide and the hammerhead.

TABLED DA.

but the end of out turn three there was 2 Fire warriors remaining on the board.

No other units.

Our total losses.

3 voids claws.

2 thunder wolves

1 drop pod

1 wave serpent

9 eldar infantry

So not a fun game for the poor blokes we faced.

very few casualties for us and tabled turn three for them.

They deployed as two armies and fought as 2 armies.

We deployed as a team and fought to out strengths and minimized their strengths, by blocking them.

Took out the biggest threats in the first 2 turns and the final turn was just mopping up.

So first game on the new home battletable was a wolves victory.

everyone agreed that Arjac and the thunderwolves were the units of the match.

thunderwolves drew and soaked so much damage, and Arjac was just an Armor killing machine.

Lessons learned.

Arjac is a beast

Harold on the chrage is also a beast.

.

What the voids claws lack in toughness compared to TH/SS they make up for by force multiplication dropping in turn 1 and allowing rerolls so my storm wolf came in turn 2.

They wreck face if they charge!!!! and are dead killy.

Next time I will run 6-7 void claws. I would never run without a wolf priest or Arjac.

Getting Arjac behind armour turn 1 is nasty.

for 95 points a basic bones dread is a big threat to units worth much more and allows other units to get across the board better.

my opponent focused on the thunderwolves to much allowing the dread to do more damage than he should have.

because we were across the long edge of the table I was able to stay out of firing lines and avoid a lot of his shooting.

not leaving him targets he wanted. rather he had to take what he could get.

I dont think he will be fooled as easy next time. They def learnt some lessons.
