Slips
Slipstreams, I think you should have text for the links to different lists such as: Generic: Kitwulfen - Zone Mortalis - 750pts It'll make finding specific types of lists easier, or lists from particular people. (I'm coming back with an Iron Hands ZM one in a bit...) I could...if I weren't inept at such things ! But I did it anyways. >_>
Nusquam
I brainstormed up a Raven Guard ZM list for each FOC: Attacker Legiones Astartes: Crusade Army List Zone Mortalis Attacker HQLegion CenturionArtificer Armor, Combat Shield, Combi-plas, Power AxeConsulDelegatus: Decapitation Strike Moritat-Prime Kaedes Nex ElitesContemptor Dreadnought TalonLegion Contemptor DreadnoughtDreadnought Close Combat Weapon with inbuilt twin-linked Bolter Mor Deythan Strike Squad5x Combi-plas, Melta Bombs, 4x Mor Deythan Mor Deythan Strike Squad5x Combi-plas, Melta Bombs, 4x Mor Deythan Fast AttackLegion Seeker Squad4x Combi-plas, 4x Legion Seeker Space MarinesLegion Strike LeaderPower Axe This list is all about offense. Decapitation Strike increases the odds of going first. Mor Deythan infiltrate and scout to get closer to demolition targets or in optimal positions to FATAL STRIKE. Seekers infiltrate or outflank to target command/elite elements. Contemptor is vanguard or escorts a unit to back them up. Delegatus goes with whichever squad he can benefit the most by being in. Kaedes Nex is the star of this show. His Relentless Stalker rule allows him to be placed anywhere within 18" of his Chosen Prey so long as he is out of LoS. Pretty easy in ZM, plus it bypasses Djinn Sight and Augery Scanners. And in the void he rends on a 5+. Plus it's a chance to net an additional victory point form The Raven's Vengeance should he wound his prey in the same phase something else kills them or finish them off personally. For the Mor Deythan's combi-weapons, it really depends on if there's poisoned air or void warfare, type of battlefield(A rubble filled ZM board or clean with open hallways etc), and type of opponent as to which may be preferable. Fatal Strikes rending is improved to 5+ in the void/poison so a combi-flamer, which gets psuedo-shred from twinlinking a template, wounds on a 4+ against T4 and rends on a 5+. All while ignoring cover. Plus you can assault afterwords to finish off whatevers left. Where as plasma is good for sometimes long, narrow, and open hallways where cover is at a premium. Stealth and Shroud bombs help mitigate any spite after they blast something. Defender Legiones Astartes: Crusade Army List ((Zone Mortalis) Defender)HQLegion CenturionArtificer Armour, Boarding Shield, Cameleoline, Combi-plas, Melta Bombs, Thunder Hammer ConsulDelegatus: Decapitation Strike Moritat-Prime Kaedes Nex ElitesApothecarion DetachmentLegion ApothecaryCombi-plas Legion ApothecaryAugury Scanner, Power Sword TroopsLegion Tactical Squad14x Legion Tactical Space Marines, Legion Vexilla Legion Tactical SergeantArtificer Armour, Power axe Fast AttackLegion Seeker Squad9x Combi-plas, 9x Legion Seeker Space Marines Legion Strike LeaderArtificer Armour, Power axe This list is more of an ambush than strike force like the attacker. Delegatus goes with the Tacs to buff them with Stealth and Defensive Grenades. Augery Apoth goes in with the tacs as well to counter any shenanigans. They are the anchor and tactical pivot. The other Apoth helps out the Seekers. Nex does what he does best; murder everything. Seekers infiltrate/outflank to hunt down the elites the attacker brought. Combatant Legiones Astartes: Crusade Army List ((Zone Mortalis) Combatant)HQLegion CenturionArtificer Armour, Combat Shield, Power axe ConsulDelegatus: Decapitation Strike Moritat-Prime Kaedes Nex ElitesContemptor Dreadnought TalonLegion Contemptor DreadnoughtChainfist with inbuilt twin-linked Bolter, Dreadnought Close Combat Weapon with inbuilt twin-linked Bolter, 2x Melta Gun Mor Deythan Strike Squad10x Combi-plas, 9x Mor Deythan TroopsLegion Tactical Squad14x Legion Tactical Space Marines, Legion Vexilla Legion Tactical SergeantArtificer Armour, Power axe This one is a balance between the two. A solid backbone of tacticals with three different offensive units which are pointed in the direction they need to go and let loose.
Emperors Teeth
Legiones Astartes (Iron Hands) 1000pts - Zone Mortalis with the Head of the Gorgon RoW HQLegion Delegatus + Artificer armour, Boarding Shield, Combi-plasma, Thunder hammer Head of the Gorgon Rite of War(130pts)TroopsLegion breacher siege squad; 10 men + 2 meltagunsSergeant - Power Fist, Artificer armour (280pts) Legion breacher siege squad; 10 men + 2 meltagunsSergeant - Power Fist, Artificer armour (280pts) ElitesVorax class battle-automata; 1 robot + frag grenades, Irad cleanser (90pts) Vorax class battle-automata; 1 robot + frag grenades, Irad cleanser (90pts) Apothecarion Detachment; 2 apothecaries + Combi-plasma, Artificer armour (130pts) Total 1000 points on the dot Not an army list I would field in anything other than a Zone Mortalis game, as it is not well equipped for taking on the enemy at either range or in heavy armour. However, it is intended to relentlessly push forwards into the enemy position whilst harrying the flanksThis list can be fielded as a ZM Attacker, Defender, or Combatant FoC with the caveat that for the charts with just two Fast Attack choices you must merge the Vorax into one unit. The Breachers are there to take punishment. They can wade through a full 10-man rapid fire of plasma weaponry and still have men on their feet. The Apothecaries and Delegatus both bring some extra Terminator killing firepower to the mix, whilst the squads are equipped to take on doors and dreadnoughts. I know that a Breaching shield on the Centurion isn’t the best option, but it feels so right. My favourite part of the list is the Vorax Battle-automata. Not something I’d normally consider with their mediocre save, but whack an Irad Cleanser on and Outflank them into close quarters fighting and I think they’ll shine. I’d like to have had a pack of two and a third with Paragon of Metal on its own for fluff overload, but I went with Apothecaries instead. These guys’ sole mission is to stalk the flanks of the enemy and if able, pick off small units. I would keep them well clear of any heavy firepower or Dreadnoughts as these’ll just eat them alive.-----An alternative take:For added firepower, drop the apothecaries and you can fit in a pair of Rapier platforms with Laser Destroyers as well as an extra couple of Breachers. SillyDreadnought
Would like to know how you got the Vorax in there, I don't see any Mechanicum or RoW in your list that lets you take them :P

Fire Golem
I'm assuming he's using the IH RoW..? But I don't know. Yeah; Head of the Gorgon: Battle Automata Maniples can be included as elites choices. I missed it in the title too haha.

Lots of loyalists have yet to actually get representation! Not loyalist but I did just realize you can do my volkite death with night lords as well.It also happens to be the most cost efficient by a long shot with the best rules for zone mortalis. You have to take 25 more points per squad to essentially have a tactical support squad with chargers, and extra attack (two if you count it for having a close combat weapon and bolt pistol), fear, preferred enemy "infantry," infiltrate, and they fill compulsory troops slots. The ROW forces you to take three but that's not a problem really as maxing out these guys is the plan anyway. Here we go: Night Lords: Hq: Delagatus Consul: 110 Artificer armour, Nostroman chain glave, Volkite serpenta Refractor field, ROW: terror assault Elites: Apothecary detachment: 3x apothecaries 3x volkite chargers Troops: Terror squad 1: 245 8x Executioners, 1 Headsman 9x volkite chargers Melta bombs Terror squad 2: 245 8x Executioners, 1 Headsman 9x volkite chargers Nostraman chainglave Melta bombs Terror squad 3: 245 8x Executioners, 1 Headsman 9x volkite chargers Power Fist This list puts out an impressive 30 chargers Some alterations you could make would be to drop one squad down to 5, loose one apothecary, and add in a 5 man tactical support with volkite calivers to give you some range on longer hallways. I do feel that this is the best way to run this due to the awesome special rules you get for night lords and the squad special rules. -the boater

The boater
You could easily drop in a dread with volkite culvern instead of the apothecaries... And then bring the squads back up to 10 ea That might not be bad and give you some range as well. My only concern is mobility. I've never played in zone mortalis, would a dread or contemptor dread get stuck anywhere trying to access any hallways or portals? -the boater

Arac
God, I love this thread. To be honest: I always loved the idea of these small forces. And I hope Book V and Underworld War on Calth will give me more inspiration to a small specialized force. Can't wait!
