Worrying rumour...

In the last days, there were some rumors by Hastings, what i can say from my sources:

-The Box is a Standalone / Starter Box hybrid Gaming Set (like the last two)

-The Box works alone but can be used as a base for Crusade Era Armies.

-More sets will come to give HH player a basement in Plastic

-Legio Mk4 Power Squad box

-Maybe the release of a Termi and a Dread box with neutral designs to combine it with the FW legio specific packs and dreads

-Possible a Rhino I upgrade sprue within a own set

-GW will release only a base of models!

-Sells of FW products in the GW-Shop coming near

take it with a bit of salt, as usual msn-wink.gif

Is it wrong of me to wish that people would sit on these rumors a little longer?  If it won't be out till May, we probably won't see or hear anything substantive till April at the earliest, meaning we're just all sitting here wondering golly gee is up for the next two months.

That's one way to look at it.

I'll take the knowledge as it could really benefit spending plans saving me money in the long run. A box full of Cataphractii armor, older marks and a contemptor at a potential price of something like Dark Vengeance makes my ears perk up and makes the money stay in my pocket for now. Of course, this could all go south, but I'll roll the dice: rumors from quality guys like Hastings are pretty solid :)

Yeah I'm with KBA. I'd rather know the rumours on the off chance they are true and that way I kand kind of plan ahead. You don't have to pay attention to them if you don't want to, but if someone like Hastings or Harry say them, much more often than not they pan out. It's as close to official as we'll get this far out, when GW is concerned. I really wish they were more open with their release schedule.

I don't mind that they want to sell limited fw in stores. Just wonder if that means we can order fw in stores...

Also think it's funny that gw wants to dip their hand in the heresy around the same time that tempest is supposed to drop.

It's like the second fw shines some light on the golden boys, the heresy suddenly becomes a "big deal" :D

If that's all it took, fw should have started with calth :P

IF I CAN GET PAST THE GODDAMN BORDER TAX ON FW STUFF BY ORDERING IT TO MY GW STORE OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE HOLY CRAP WILL I BE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY! IT WOULD MAKE THE 2 HOURS OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION I HAVE TO TAKE TO GET THERE WORTH IT!

Having to pay ANOTHER INSANE EXORBITANT AMOUNT after just having spent HUNDREDS of dollars on FW stuff makes it REALLY hard for me to justify actually buying FW stuff on a consistent basis. Screw you Canadian Gov. and UPS.

No, I'm not salty about that at all. >_> *cough*

OT: At this point in time, if GW just make plastic generic 30k stuff (contemptors, Mk III / IV) cool, since that means when I get my free shipping order I wont be getting a C.O.D upon delivery and thus make it easier for me to have multiple legions. Take my money FW/GW, just make it easier for me to do so.

Why do Americans say 'could care less' when what you mean is 'couldn't care less'? I've always wondered.

Not something unique to Americans, or something that every American does.  Just people who don't understand or really think about the expression.

Like people who say, "for all intensive purposes," when they mean, "for all intents and purposes."

I know not every American person says it but I've never heard it from anyone who wasn't american. And 'all intensive purposes' I've never heard before, that's just a mistake though. Someone heard it wrong and therefore said it wrong, it sounds like.

I've had FW stuff show up through Canada Post (with NO import fees) and then other packages it goes through UPS (with import fees). Not sure if there is rhyme or reason to it all -- All the books seem to go through UPS, and so did my Reaver Titan which sucked, but a pricy contemptor/Legion accessory order came through Canada Post.

I, too, would rather just order through the store instead of ordering direct.

Well, you're a VERY lucky man because ALL my orders pass through UPS furious.gif

The only time I'm happy to get a GW/FW delivery is when its a Fedex truck because that usually means I'm not going to pay more money.

And yes, Forgeworld in GW stores for free shipping would be Amazing. It would certainly increase traffic to them since it would mean us making more small orders instead of trying to get that free shipping to minimize the extra costs.

It is usually the subtle infiltration of poor grammatical skills and slang that is constantly evolving within our language. It doesn't help when certain role models are followed with little care for correction or morals. I'm sounding here like a 60 year old man, but I'm 21.

For example, I was tested within the top 6% percentile of all students my age for ability, comprehension, and intelligence (I subsequently tested within the top 3% of IQ as well). I was put into a program in my public school for gifted children, named Project Arrow, which, I guess could be called a MENSA for kids. Yet despite being in sports and a generally nice guy, I was made fun of for being smarter than the rest of my classmates an being actively interested in learning. Our society here, unfortunately, doesn't place value on intelligence, but rather, conformity.

To borrow a line from a Korn song: "Pieces of the puzzle don't fit, so I pound them into you."

Being largely social animals as we are, people outside the norm are seen as deviants, and therefore a threat (due to being different).

So in this long spiel that I've spun, the short answer is: our society devalues learning and education in favor of conformity and being seen as "cool".

These grammatical errors become commonplace for us and slowly become part of our everyday speech...I'm guilty of it all the same. Saying irregardless would drive my English major grandfather nuts...

Anywho, I'll stop sounding smart here and go back to being innocuous by sipping on fermented wheat and scratching lint out of my belly button :D

The dumb-it down mentality is even more prevalent in the military.
