Homebrew Characters

Does anyone else have homebrew characters or particularly notable characters and backgrounds they've come up with? I'm currently playing in a campaign which has allowed us to go a little bit crazy with the characters we've developed, and this is one of my characters;

 

Unshackled Ka Taren, Ploiarchos vis Skia Kordoni, Umbral Apprentice

-- Master of the Shadowstring, and the protege of Be'lakor.

 

Exiled from the legion for use of his Psychic Powers, he and a select few of his followers left the legion, progressing into the far galactic north, where they encountered a being calling himself the Shadowmaster. Under his tuition, he unlocked the powers of the Night Lord's Librarian.

 

Librarian Consul, Daemon, 3 wounds, Ld10, Mastery Level 3, one power known is Terrify, and may reroll failed manifestations of that power. Has a Mastercrafted Chainglaive with Force, Boarding Shield, and Cyber Familiar (stolen from an Iron Hand Gorgon Terminator Champion he killed in one of the latest engagements). Must be Warlord, unless either Be'lakor or a Primarch is present. May not take any other special characters from the Night Lords legion if he's present, but may take Be'lakor as a Lord of War, and up to 3 Daemon Princes as a Lord of War, while Furies may be taken as none scoring . In addition, allies change to everything being Distrusted, with the the exception of Word Bearers and Chaos Daemons who become Trusted.

 

Grants a new Rite of War that adds +1 to Ka Taren's Psychic Pool for each failed Fear test caused by models in the detachment, and grants Ka Taren or Be'lakor a special use of the Summoning and Sacrifice Powers which may be used to conjour up a unit of 10+d6 Furies only, or an Undivided only Daemon Prince respectively. Only dice generated by failed fear tests may be used.

 

That's the basis, I'm interested to see what you guys have.

Just make sure to overweight them on points and let your opponent know so that they're comfortable with it.

 

I unfortunately tend to make my characters too synergistic with my lists or make them a bit crazy so I try to stay away from making rules.

In a similar vein to Raktra, my II Legion project will be getting some homebrew dudes. (Totally not working on a kitbash Centurion at the minute!)
I love just sitting down and writing characters for one of the eighteen twenty Legions that I don't play, and just having fun with them. Working on a World Eater post-Istvaan at the minute, just some good old-fashioned fanfic. He might get a model if I like how the piece turns out.
