Sigvard
Howdy folks. I have recently created a home brew which uses the Space Wolves codex for the flavour found there (also because I cannot paint space wolves for taffy!) Whilst I am focussing on the less the Wolfy elements of the Codex I am really not going to drop Thunderwolves as a unit as they rock hard. My intention is to use reptiles in their place (along with some Lizardman Bastilodons for some allied Thunder Fire Cannons) I would love to use the new carnosaurs but they are horrendously expensive and also far to big for thunderwolves. Do any of you fine people have any ideas where I can get thunderwolf size lizards from? Thanks in advance Sigvard Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/303763-thunderlizards/ Share on other sites
infyrana
Lizards specifically? Have you checked all of the fantasy range? Cold ones might be a starting point, though obviously not lizard like, Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/303763-thunderlizards/#findComment-3957624 Share on other sites
Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
Lizards specifically? Have you checked all of the fantasy range? Cold ones might be a starting point, though obviously not lizard like, the Cold Ones can barely support the Elves that ride them, a Marine would shatter them. The old cold ones (called the lizard-cow due to its dumpy shape) may be the best bet, if its enlarged. Sigvard
Yeah the Old Carnosaur would be ideal for a unit of thunderwolves but on eBay they are somewhere in the region of £45!! Thanks for the help so far guys I really appreciate!! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/303763-thunderlizards/#findComment-3957697 Share on other sites
Vykryl
The other option would be looking for dinosaur models from toy stores. The problem there is finding a site that lists dimensions. Carlson793
You could always steer clear of GW/FW, and hit your local discount department store, SM model in hand, and check the dinosaurs in their toy section. Sigvard
That is actually a genius idea. I need to get the Thunderwolf rider legs first but I will do just that. Just need to find the least stupid looking dinosaur!! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/303763-thunderlizards/#findComment-3958308 Share on other sites
Vykryl
Still seem pricy, but look good and have dimensions. http://www.nothingbutdinosaurs.com/catalog/collectibles-collector-memorabilia-collectables-dinosaur-dino/papo-realistic-dinosaur-figures-collectibles-toys-dino-replica-model.html Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/303763-thunderlizards/#findComment-3958314 Share on other sites
