Noctus Cornix
This next one is something of another teaser but I also wanted to post it for the sake of posterity. Some of you might recall one of the first models I posted on my older Word Bearers blog years ago. The first pic shows my paint job of him a little over two years ago. The following pictures of him are an updated repaint done a short while ago. I like to think I've vastly improved during that time, however I seriously doubt I would have made it this far without all the awesome feedback and help you ladies and gents have given me along the way. So thank you, everyone. :) http://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac352/Noctus-Cornix/WP_000140_zpsa32755d4.jpghttp://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac352/Noctus-Cornix/20151117_132107_zpsyykt3if1.jpghttp://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac352/Noctus-Cornix/20151117_132141_zpshvdmehzs.jpghttp://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac352/Noctus-Cornix/20151117_132155_zpsn285iiqs.jpghttp://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac352/Noctus-Cornix/20151117_132213_zpsj4sjdwse.jpghttp://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac352/Noctus-Cornix/20151117_132235_zps5gkkcxws.jpgHope you like them. hushrong
He looks like Hell Incarnate! I am digging the geometric designs on the shoulder pad and the flesh bits around his neck look so much better! Your painting also looks great. One thing I like compared to the first iteration is more controlled washes. Looking at the first versions axe shaft and spine stemming from his jump pack you can see a huge difference. Noctus Cornix
Much appreciated for the kind words, good sir. :P the geometric shapes are from the Word Bearers tranfer sheet. I couldn't possibly take credit for it. Soldier of Dorn
So, we've seen several teasers now, mate, when's the main event coming? ;) New paint job looks great, BTW. Much improved over the original. I'm especially fond of the decision to give him a black backpack rather than a red one, it looks much better. Noctus Cornix
If you look closer, you can see that all of his armour is black except for his Shoulder pads. :P I wanted to help make my Dark Disciples(Chaplains) stand out a bit more so both my Destroyers/Ashen Circle and Chaplains have reverse color schemes so black armour with red shoulder inset (silver trim of course) and Chaplains specifically have that bone colored helmet/face mask. Noctus Cornix
I assure you. Many plans are in the works and I will be presenting them all very soon. The first of which you will see on the Age of Darkness threads as well as here. What it will be though, I'll keep it a secret. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/304034-noctus-cornixs-commission-and-paint-loghow-far-weve-come/page/3/#findComment-4292195 Share on other sites
