RandomMarine
Basically I'm looking for a road bump to slow the enemy approach. Which one should I use. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/304111-immortals-vs-breacher-squad/ Share on other sites
Gorgoff
Never choose Breacher. They are way to expansive. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/304111-immortals-vs-breacher-squad/#findComment-3965374 Share on other sites
Memento Of Prospero
Never choose Breacher. They are way to expansive. You clearly did not read the topic. Immortals are even more expensive and aren't scoring as breachers are. A cheap squad of Gorgons can csn lock down the enemy quite well if properly positions Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/304111-immortals-vs-breacher-squad/#findComment-3965419 Share on other sites
Raktra
Between the two? Breachers. Vexilla is key to holding someone in place, and it's easy to throw an Apothecary in there to make up for the FNP lack. That and "Gun Them Down" is tragically useless. BassWave
Tragically useless is an understatement... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/304111-immortals-vs-breacher-squad/#findComment-3965646 Share on other sites
Hesh Kadesh
If it let them sweep the enemy unit and make snap shots against any other nearby unit, that would be alright. Raktra
Or if it let you shoot after a failed sweep. Anything more than what it currently is. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/304111-immortals-vs-breacher-squad/#findComment-3965698 Share on other sites
RandomMarine
Seems like breachers have the vote. I probably build them so I can use them as both. Memento Of Prospero
Honestly. you can use the immortal models for breachers if you want, they have the same form and function and no special gear (unless you gave them all volkites!) They really are beautiful models. I would love to change gun them down to assault and battery : as part of their charge, models in this unit may snapfire their bolt guns. Raktra
Bit of Warmachine sneakin' in there? My breachers are a mix of the two kits, no-one bats an eyelid. All I did to even them out was slap a brass etch symbol on the blank shields (I'd show you but alas, mobile phone post).
