Thanks LoJ: Yes, I fully intend to employ this drone to eliminate some displeasing units during the 30K ZM games on Saturday.

I'm also pleased to say that this is the last model I need for all my events this weekend. happy.png I'm getting pretty stoked at this point. Cheers!

I'm back from my holidays, and naturally, I'm amazed at how much stuff you guys have done!

ROBOcaster and Chaplain Mortis - Two excellent dreadnoughts, with some great weathering.

OMG - never apologise for thread hijack. It is great to see your army all together like that. It looks stunning. Is it the tornament this weekend? Good luck, and it would be awesome to get some rports from your games if at all possible!

Stru - Glad you didn't do any serious damage to your finger mate, and glad you are still in the game!

MoM - You are relentless, and produce relentlessly impressive work!

My months painting so far. I will now be adding a unit of 5 Pheonix Terminators, 5 Palative Blades, and 5 Kakophini.

Rage - THE SWIRLS! wub.png Why oh why has no one mentioned the swirls?!? Really glorious work and fantastic to see it.

Fire Golem - Don't you start another army! Paint some more of those Sons, they are looking good and the more you do the more you'll get into it!

AO - What are those castellax conversions? They look nice!

Jeremy - I leave for 5 days or so and you do how many vows?!? Great work, and I particularly like the drop pod.

OK. To my spreadsheets!

Kor'vesh the Ravens and Fists never disappoint. :)

And just because another vow!

6 man veteran tactical squad with missile launcher

OK - I've run the numbers for the half way point and will start working on a summary. But first, some administrative questions and messages:

Cocha - Welcome aboard. I'm happy to accept the full 6 speeder pledge for the month.

Rage of Khorne - Can I clarify how big your pledge was? You have 20 infantry in your last image. Have you painted all 20 for the pledge, or 10 and the shoulder pads for the other 10? Am I right in saying you still have Horus to do?

sup00sed - I've pledged you in for the knight Castigator.

StruManChu and Twisty - I figured I should clarify scoring for your vows. When folks do a building pledge I award 1/4 points. If they upgrade that to a painting pledge in the same month, then they will get their points upgraded to the full painting points, NOT both. So Twisty, if you finish your vow you'd get 22.5 points (20 for the painted tac squad, and 2.5 for the built heavy support squad). HOWEVER if you fail the painting, I will give you the building points. Clear as mud? I hope so!

Raktra - Were your plasma guys done? I thought probably not as your plasma coils were stil metalic, but I guess I should check!

@OMG...that drone is all kinds of win! Well done on such a unique piece.

@Jeremy...you planning on painting the ENTIRE legion this month hahaha. ..well done mate.

@Rage of khorne..have you thought of changing your name to ...beauty of slaanesh??...those minis are fantastic! Pleasure to see

Ok vow finished!

Will try and ready something else...iron within!

March – Week two

Well, another mad week with Jeremy1391 leading the way, delivering a flurry of blows for the Emperor’s cause. You’ll no doubt all be pleased to know that we have now pledged many more points worth of models than, January, our best month yet – over 319 models are being worked on in March, worth a score of 609.5. Can we turn all of that positive pledging into success though? Regardless, we are seeing some great work, and if we carry this form into the ETL in a few months, the heresy forum will be a force to be reckoned with. Y’all have still got some models let to paint, right? biggrin.png

New entrants to the challenge in week 2 include the aforementioned Jeremy1391, Cocha, Jimbo13, skalpynock, Daemonclaw and sup00sed. Welcome Fraters!

Current scores

Pledges – Traitors 2* – 1# Loyalists

*With one additional pledge completed and risked by Gizur

#With one additional pledge risked by DimDim, two by Alpharius Omegron 108, and 5 by Jeremy1391

The Traitors LEAD, but the loyalists have the pledges banked for later! The only pledges currently not at risk are those of Barrabas Sogolon, who completed his loyalist Death Guard contemptor this week, Richmarine, who completed his 2 Sons of Horus apothecaries, and Chaplain Mortis, who completed a second contemptor and a glorious event-only Prevain model. Jealous. Gizur, who I forgot to mention completed his vow of two stunning dreads last week, has risked the first pledge with a unit of 10 Assault marines. No one really thinks this is a risk though! AO108 completed his second vow this week, adding two converted castellax, a navigator, a prevain and a sergeant to his fledgling IInd legion, but has risked it again with a third vow. The week belonged to Jeremy1391 though, who completed 5 vows in as many days for his Raven Guard and Imperial Fist allegiance, and he isn’t done yet!

Score – Traitors 57 – 112.5 Loyalists

Percentage of pledged score – Traitors 35.63% - 25% Loyalists

Given our now predictable bias in team size, the points lead for the loyalists is expected, BUT the traitors retain a big lead in their percentage of completions. Note however, that if the Iron Hands were their own faction, they be winning on points scored – and impressive showing from the Xth!

Aside from our oath keepers we’ve seen a lot of excellent progress this week. OMG showed off his army for Adepticon, as well as completing his devestation drone. Twisty has built his 10 Salamanders heavy support marines with martian death rays – now everybody wants some! Mind of Metal continues apace – he has painted thallax, support marines, a veteran, and some terminators this week. He’s probably painted more, but it’s so hard to keep up. Slipstreams gave us a completed Luna Wolf legion champion, while Nevindar showed off 5 volkite caliver toting support marines for the Iron Tenth. Finally for the loyalists, Raktra built his sicaran, and started work on his plasma support squad, and ROBOcaster gave us a stunning contemptor. Ferrus will be pleased! For the traitors Rage of Khorne has churned out some stunning, swirl-tastic, Emperor’s Children, this week including 10 tactical marines, 3 command squad members, a vox operator, and a delegaltus.

Favoured of Ferrus – Mind of Metal

At this early stage of the inter-clan battle, Mind of Metal is way out in front crushing all opposition with 44 points worth of completed minatures. His closest rivals right now are ROBOcaster and Nevindar, but there is a gulf between them. Can anyone stop him?

Finally, I give you a detailed run down – let me know if I’ve got stuff wrong!

Kor’Vesh

OMG - never apologise for thread hijack. It is great to see your army all together like that. It looks stunning. Is it the tornament this weekend? Good luck, and it would be awesome to get some rports from your games if at all possible!

Yes- the con starts on Thursday.  I always have the best intentions of taking lots of pictures & taking notes on the battles but the fierce fires of competition always gets the better of me.  I will certainly to my best.  Given some of the blogs, etc. looks like there's going to be a lot to see.

@ Kor'Vesh - Yes I do still have a Horus to paint (waiting on my new airbrush to arrive) and I have painted 10 shoulder pads and 10 extra marines. Also thanks for noticing the swirls, I feel they make the Children appropriately fancy while still being kind of rough.

@Chaplain Mortis - If you like the Emperors Children wait until I start on my World Eaters next month. Gotta do my namesake proud! I really like the metallic texture you have going on your models; are you using a texture spray for it or going back in by hand and working in the textured appearance?

Five tacticals finished, including the Sarge and the vexila bearer. But due to some unexpected work related stuff I probably won´t have a free day until April, so I doubt these guys will see their brothers painted anytime soon. But maybe (like life) I can find a.. uh.. way.
