Great idea Kor'Vesh...really liking your idea for pushing this event forward! Be more interesting things to read each month...and I reckon we can give the etl a run for its money this year

That is a beautiful piece of work Mortis... might just win my vote for this month! I don't normally like quoting a picture, but I can risk you Eddy getting lost on the bottom of page 11!

Glad you like the plan - I have to give credit to Owl and Moon Guy though, who gave me the idea for part 2. Hopefully it will all work really well!

wuhu =) yeah, i think i will need to split him atleast, so interior / techpriest / crew for month 1, Titan for month 2 :X

I'll take that pledge. I can't wait to see you paint that Reaver and Vulkan. Shouldn't be long now...

Black_out - Great base, and amazing blood splatter. I can't wait to see Sevetar now :)

Gizur - I never commented on your assault squad. Really stunning work as ever. I'm excited to see your whole army shot in the Hall of Victor's thread. Pretty sure you'll have been the champion traitor a few times too!

In "Kor'Vesh doing some bloody hobby work" news, I actually built another marine this morning, so I've managed 13! Woo. No proof for you yet though. I'm so slow!

Hey peeps, I just assembled the 3 pledged castellax, and would like to add more pledges! I would like to add a 5 man squad of second legion headhunters, and a preator with nanyte blaster!

Pics coming soon!

(Woah.. If i finish everything.. I then did: a vindi, 2 preators, a sarge, 5 man headhunter squad, a navigator and 5 castellax.. YEY..

Well, the Castellax are now done.

Just leaves my rhino to finish off. First layer of metallics is done over most of it, so just that and doing the combi bolter gunner.

Yay for actually making progress on an army for the first time in a decade.

I'm going to risk my Apothacaries and pledge abaddon for this month too. Not very happy with how they turned out. So I treated myself to an eBay purchase. Unfortunately he's missing half his top knot. So I'll make him another.

Awesome work in here. The iron warriors makes me want to switch back to my original chaos army.

Not finished with them yet, surprisingly but, I have put some work into my Destroyers; I had just bought some Nihlak Oxide and Typhon Corrosion so I wanted to try it on them. The Purple-shaded silvers aren't done yet either, going to go over them again with Black and/or Blue.

Because of this stunning piece i have ordered a Deredeo for myself. Thanks for inspiring me.

March – Week three

A good solid third week has set things up nicely for the end of March. Lots more solid completions from all sides, some really impressive paint jobs, awesome weathering, and unique colour schemes have all been on display. Start thinking about which completions have been your favourite for our vote at the end of the month!

Current scores

Pledges – Traitors 2* – 9# Loyalists

*With one additional pledge completed and risked by RichMarine and two by Chaplain Mortis

#With one additional pledge risked by DimDim, two by Alpharius Omegron 108

The Loylists have a big lead here, mostly thanks to Jeremy’s mad pledging work in week 2! But the Traitor have 3 more in the bank, and could still threaten the loyalist score with a big last week. This week has seen Chaplain Mortis complete his second pledge, adding a n amazing Deredo to his army, before promptly pledging to complete another! Gizur also gave us another 10 Word Bearer’s assault marines to complete his second vow, and round off the traitorous completions. For the loyalists, Jeremy1391 completed vow 6, finishing his 6 man Imperial Fist Veteran squad, and Jimbo13 gave us three fantastic Fist’s marines in a cool yellow and purple scheme. A big fuss has to be made of Mind of Metal, however, who completed his 56 point pledge this week, with 2 Castellax and a Rhino for the Iron Tenth – HUGE effort, and great work MoM.

Score – Traitors 88 – 186.5 Loyalists

Percentage of pledged score – Traitors 50% - 40.81% Loyalists

Given our now predictable bias in team size, the points lead for the loyalists is expected, BUT, like last week, the traitors retain a big lead in their percentage of completions. Note however, that if the Iron Hands were their own faction, they STILL be winning on points scored – and impressive showing from the Xth!

Aside from our oath keepers we’ve seen a lot of excellent progress this week. Twisty has painted 10 Salamanders tactical marines (as many as I’ve managed in total L), and they look great! Raktra painted up his 5 man plasma support squad, and I’ve built all 21 of my tactical marines and my attack bike… I’ll show you soon I promise. For the traitors Rage of Khorne’s Emperor’s Children continue to grow, this week incorporating 5 new Phoenix Guard terminators. Deamonclaw completed the first model from his pledge, with a top nothch Word Bearer’s Praetor, and we saw an awesome base for Sevetar from Black_out.

Favoured of Ferrus – Mind of Metal

As we are closing in on the end of the month, Mind of Metal continues to lead the way having now completed his 56 point vow to Ferrus Mannus. His closest rivals right now is Cocha, whose impressive completion of 6 land speeders has secured 36 points, but with a 20 point lead, MoM is looking safe for now!

The Iron Hands have completed 112 points out of 241 pledged. The Heretics have 88 points out of 176 pledged, and the other loyalists 68.5 points out of 210 pledged. It’s a good showing from all fronts, but I think the other loyalist have to put a bit more effort in for the final week – without Jeremy we’d be looking pretty dismal! Let’s see all; three divisions get over the 50% completion mark!

Hopefully there is a lot more progress to come – I’m off to start painting a Rhino! Good luck guys!
