Hail all:  I'm back from Adepticon after a great weekend.  Whereas my tabletop performance wasn't as I'd hoped, I did bring home best painted in the Narrative & 30K tourney events:

How's this for an action pic of the Primarch Angron charging my Falchion:

Now... I believe I have a primarch of my own to paint.

AND, truth be told, I'm now all-in to do an "Auric Hammer" Orbital Strike based EC list.  Expect pink marines on the painting table starting next month.

Cheers all around!  -OMG

Glad you had fun OMG - and a well deserved award! Did you get eaten by Angrin perchance?

ROBOCaster - potentially dumb question, but what is your technique for the brown dusty weathering on your vehicles? I've not done much weathering ever, but I feel like the dry dusty look you have on you rhinos and contemptor is something that would work on my Sallies, and something I could pull off. Is it as simple as dry brush things with brown?

Glad you had fun OMG - and a well deserved award! Did you get eaten by Angrin perchance?

Angron did in fact put some dings in my ride.  And yet!  Soon thereafter he took D shot to the face, I pitched a 6 and there were nothing left but 2 very angry metal boots smoldering on the battlefield.  In retribution, the red butchers he was hanging with finished the job.

You just gotta love 30K...

In a universe where said Primarch can Deadlift a Titan, does that really surprise you :p

My completed Palatine Blades with Sonic Shriekers.

Amazing work! After seeing these, I really wish I had gone with the metallic purple for my Emperor's Children. Are you going to be starting a thread or blog for your EC? I'd love to see some more :tu:

Since I've finished all my pledges but I don't have time enough to paint something else I'd like to pledge the BUILDING of a Legion Basilisk

EDIT: Job done, next month I'll go for basecoat, decals and paintjob

Slipstreams... Your wallet must be lighter after your ceramite visa took that hit;)...

RAge of khorne!! What beautiful EC! The scrollwork is stunning.

OMG- congrats man! Your army is inspirational! Looking forward to seeing Ferrus

mOM- a 4 year pod... I understand(hangs head and looks at bits and pieces of collected dusty projects;)

As for my IF, I assembled the last 2 doods for my vow last night- minus the bits winging themselves from other shores- crossing my fingers they arrive soon so I can complete my vow.

Also- 'bayed a partially assembled Archeon for my IF/SA/mechanicum list:) excited as airbrush weather is here and I have a raptor to paint as well. Have next months vow waiting:)

Sure thing Castiel. Its a bigger pledge, so a swap seems fair enough.

Rage - Let us know on here when the pics go up, as I'm sure plenty of people would like to look!

Thanks for the tip ROBOcaster - sadly I neither own or know how to use an airbrush! More things to learn about methinks!

In other news, my Rhino paint job is progressing nicely, so I might just finish this pledge, and have some picture to show you all soon. Have a mini 30K campaign this week too, Sallies versus Death Guard, so I'm quite excited!

this month's small pledge is now finished =)

Ancient Grenn

once of the Realm of Epithemus, now attached to the survivors of Cadre Sulphaeon at Dominica Minor, the last Dragon, the Reaper's prey

[pict-capture: Isstvan V massacre and Raid on Dominica Minor]

Once, Ancient Grenn was Consul-Centurion Shar'rac Grenn of the 3rd company of the Realm of Epithemus, well respected in the Legion for his devotion both to duty and the teachings of Vulkan. The honour markings on his kneepads and the embossed seal of Nocturne on his chestplate recall the glories of his long career, which culminated in the brutal fighting on Isstvan V from which he barely escaped, for all that he knew as the last of his kind, alongside a handful of his brethren. It was on Dominica Minor that the tattered survivors heard rumours of Vulkan's death and the total destruction of their Legion, and when the dread fleet of Mortarion appeared in orbit of their refuge, they pledged to die in its defence rather than flee before their gene-father's murderers ...
