I... Have been distracted. I completely forgot about the topknots, and my models are at my girlfriends, where I'm not. So im going to fail, again. Pretty annoyed at myself.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Oh well FIreGolem - glad you made progress at least!

twisty - no shame, you did some top work, you just got a bit excited!

Huw - sorry if I missed your posts! If they never even appeared then that's pretty frustrating. I'll accept your full set of completions though mate. Great work as ever.

Loving all the progress since this morning - y'all have until I settle down for my breakfast in the morning to finish up! :D

So, how about a Praetor and a Laser-Vindicator? (Vindicator is tabletop ready when it comes to painting, got a game tomorrow. Finished with a but).

Looking forward to next month!

FINISHED! IVE YET TO FAIL TEH EMPRAH! GLORY BE HIS NAEM!

The free hand on the rhino hatch and the door are supposed to be Terra and the moon, take what you will.

I also tried a new army painter yellow spray, which sucked and kind of ruined the tank for me as washes just wouldn't apply properly to it(tried to cover it with battle damage but its still looks sub par). Looks like im done experimenting and im sticking to my tested version of yellow I used on the tac marine. I guess its still not bad for a salvage from three years ago when I first started BT's, plus its not even in my list so it probably wont see much table time if any.

Crappy pictures I know but time was an issue.  And by my timezone, about 1:50 min ahead of deadline.

Cheers!  -OMG

++ RESULTS ++

I have had my breakfast, which means that I can officially declare the March Challenge CLOSED!

As I've added everything up already, I thought I'd declare the results stright away, and then put together a detailed post-mortem later, showing everyone's completions.

Overall, March has been a record breaker. We have secured a total of 519.5 points across the whole competition, almost 200 points more than January. We saw an overall completion rate of 74.7%. This is accross roughly 250 models! Really impressive stuff everyone. First up, lets see the individual winners:

Warmaster's Champion - this is the oathkeeper on the traitor team with the highest score. The winner should post their vow in the Hall of Victor's thread!

In third place - Gizur with 22 points

In second place - Chaplain Mortis with 25 points

The Winner - Rage of Khone with 69 points

Favoured of Ferrus - this month we had an Iron Hand intraclan war. The winner should post their vow in the Hall of Victor's thread! Here are the top competitiors:

In third place - Ironwrought Huw with 22 points

In second place - Cocha with 47.25 points

The Winner - Mind of Metal with 62 points

Honourable mentions go to ROBOcaster, who scored enough points for third place but failed to meet his entire pledge, and Owl and Moon Guy, who painted Ferrus himself, but still failed to win his favour. The Gorgon clear does not like his ass kissed :D

Emperor's Champion - this is the oathkeeper on the loyalist team with the highest score. This month due to the Iron Hand war, I'll call this from the other loyalist legions, though the Iron Hands would have won it anyway! The winner should post their vow in the Hall of Victor's thread!

In third place - Slipstreams with 23 points

In second place - Alpharius Omegron 108 with 25 points

The Winner - Jeremy1391 with 29 points

Pledge competition

Traitors 15 - 25 Loyalist

As expected, the Loyalists win the pledge fight, but the numbers are really high for both teams. Only 5 pledges were incomplete in the traitorous team, while 11 went incomplete for the Loyalists.

Points Scored

Traitors 178 - Loyalists 341.5

Traitors 178 - Iron Hands 193 - Other Loyalists 136.4

So, if we play with 3 teams, the Iron Hands just sneak it, with the Traitors close behind. With two teams the numbers told in the loyalist favour, however:

Percentage of completed pledges

Traitors 85.17% - Loyalists 70.2%

Traitors 85.17% - Iron Hands 73.13% - Other Loyalists 64.83%

The traitors had a BIG win if we measure things based on percentage completions. The traitors truly are the most honourable players this month!

Great work all. I'll put together a full list of everyone's work later.

Now, however, it is time to start voting for your favourite pledges in both the loyalist and traitor team. Everyone who played has a vote for each team, and the winners from the teams are exempt. The vote closes on Friday morning! Vote now for your team champions!

I Kor'Vesh elect Chaplain Mortis and Owl and Moon Guy as my favourite pledges this month.

Hey AO - thank you for voting and all your involvement mate. You did a great job this month.

Just so you know, you can vote for a player from both the traitor and loyalist team, and, as Jeremy won the Emperor's (non-iron hand) Champion this month, he will get to be in the hall of Victors thread anyway! Anyway else you'd like to vote for?

Honourable mentions go to ROBOcaster, who scored enough points for third place but failed to meet his entire pledge, and Owl and Moon Guy, who painted Ferrus himself, but still failed to win his favour. The Gorgon clear does not like his ass kissed biggrin.png

huh.png What will the primarch think when I start painting EC? Thankfully he's a fictional or I'd find myself in the ranks of the immortals w/o a boarding shield behind which to hide my shame.

Thanks K'V for another great month running this. I still think G'dub owes you a commission or at least prize support in the form of FW Salamander models.

@Grazzlebaz: Thanks but I don't think I would have brought him anyway. The Falchion was way too much fun to field.

It was very difficult for me to pick my favorites this month as there were too many choices. But after careful deliberation;

I OwlandMoonGuy elect Rage of Khorne and Kor'Vesh as my favorite pledges this month.

Cheers all around for all the participants. I'm sure FW's continued profitability also thanks you. happy.png

So many awesome entries this month so very hard to choose favourites that aren't already showing up in the Hall of Victors thread.

I Rage of Khorne vote Kor'Vesh for the Loyalists (Non-Iron Hands), OwlandMoonGuy for the Loyalists (Iron Hands) and Chaplain Mortis for the Traitors

I, Cocha, from the lands of Ancient Romans, honoured grown-up battle-brother in this well-fought competition, vote:

- For chaplain mortis for the traitor side (your Deredeo is amazing, well done!)
- For my new friend
OwlandMoonGuy for the loyalists! Cheers from Italy my friend, our Primarch should lend you His favour!

- For the Imperials (non Iron Hands), I vote for Atia, because of his inspiring Salamanders Contemptor Dreadnought and for its background. Because good painters should always have stories for their most beatiful miniatures.
