Tallarn: Ironclad has arrived

I enjoyed the book purely because of the badass SoH equerry. It's actually quite well written, and I would recommend it

I did enjoy the Slaaneshi influence, a subtle nod to RT!

If he was of any other legion he'd be considered a hero tbh he was almost like a Loken figure, but working for the traitors.

...I think he understands the perils of the immaterium and is trying to find a way to counteract them so the Imperium he thinks they are fighting for comes about and not the one dominated by those chaos powers.

WoT, thank you. You've just singlehandedly (with this bit of insight into Perturabo) managed to finally settle for me the choice of which Legion I would eventually paint my budding (eventual) 30k force as...

If it helps more here's the sentence I was on about

"The powers that exist beyond the walls of reality mock our strength, and try to turn this war to their own. There is no one left to trust besides the Warmaster, and serpents coil around him. There are two wars now, the war to topple the Emperor and the war against those who would betray us in turn. And in that war we need to be sharpness and obliteration, we need weapons, we need to be iron once more."

Cool, I need another Iron Warrior to potentially stomp into the ground with Wolf_Pack xD

Thanks for the Synopsis WoT, very much appreciated since I haven't really had the time to buy BL Books and sit down and read in a while..

Hello everyone,

I'm translating this book into russian and yesterday have met one word that I can't connect with text around it. If someone can help please do it.

This phrase is from 12th chapter, from the part concerning Argonis's escape:

"Figures with weaponry were moving across the cavern floor: heavy bolters, claviers, missile launchers".

Can anyone explain me the meaning of "claviers" here? or pls give link to the picture of such weapon type...

Thanks in advance!

A quick Google Image search of Caliver Gives this:

Its essentially an improved Arquebus which was a muzzle loaded, single shot gun. In this instance, I think the author is referring to the Volkite Caliver:

Thanks a lot,

Did I correctly understand yuor idea:

The author transformed word "caliver" into "clavier".

but... I can't understand for what purpose?

Hmm Clavier in french is Keyboard...but it doesnt come up as a Weapon name in English that I know of.. Maybe its a typo that got through? Its only a single letter swap after all..

Probably a typo yeah, they do crop up reasonably often in the black library books. My paperback copy of Scars I got at the weekend doesn't have a paragraph break where there should be one, which was very confusing until I realised!

Although a Volkite Clavier sounds like an instrument I want to play...

I believe a Volkite Klavier is a piano that disintegrates your enemies.

They are all the rage at EDM festivals.

The EC got there first. I call it the Death Korg.
