Hey guys so I'm making my first WIP thread for my fists kill team. Specifically using HOR rules. All in all I'm trying to share my journey of creating the imperial fists but without yellow tongue.png which is heresy but whatever. I love the Fists and have always struggled with yellow and saw this way in a HH thread( I don't remember the author- Whoever you are you rock) and I found it has allowed me to paint a team I love the fluff and backstory with. So I'm using forge world/gw/dragon forge design parts. They are put on 32mm bases because quite frankly they look fabulous on them. All in all though it will be 10 marines and would love to hear comments along the way and suggestions. (With the exception of mold lines.... some of them were too severe and I don't feel comfortable filing/I botched a prior model). So to begin-

Dragon Forge Designs Bases: (These things ROCK MY SOCKS!!!!)

Painted- Itouched them up so they aren't so sheeny....

And the first marine/test model to see if I could rock this color. I got the inspiration from the HH threads, I'm sorry I don't remember who originally posted or else I would give proper credit.

Brother Gerhard- (THAT"S RIGHT THEY GOT PURPLE BOLTERS!!!!!)

This is the first guy and I am quite happy. I'm working on highlighting these guys. I did it before I did the yellow wash so it comes through in person. Brothers and Sisters I deeply apologize for poor photo quality and I will do my best to improve. If you want better pictures, different angles etc. Let me know and I shall make it happen. I look forward to hearing back from you all as I embark on my painting quest!!!!

hey dude liking the yellow... its nice and contrasts well with the purple as they are complimentary colours. remember when highlighting keep your paints thin... and build gradually almost like doing a glaze its very forgiving even for those with shaky hands!

Argh. I feel like I've been thinning the paints a lot when I've been doing it. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. Is it normal that I feel like I'm thinning too much and that since I'm thinning the paints out it takes a much longer time?

-Also does the highlighting on the marine show up at all through the yellow wash in the pictures?

Next up is Tech-Brother Jarl. A future Techmarine. O decided to give him a mechanicum pad and a bionic arm to have him give off the proper vibe. As per suggestion I thinned the highlights. Also to change it up I did the washes then the highlights before a used the yellow shade. So it looks slightly different. Without further ado.
