Gresiloth
The start of a small Grey Knights detachment. I wanted to do something without using metallic silver. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i211/ashbeyj/100_3258_zpsv0lf8x5y.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/304316-grey-knights-librarian-conversion/ Share on other sites
FUZIONZ96
Nice! I think non metallic looks nicer than metalic anyway. And good work on the sword. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/304316-grey-knights-librarian-conversion/#findComment-3969934 Share on other sites

KhorneFlakes
Brilliant, great all round job. Especially the natural highlights and fades on the armour and adding the candles with glow tops it off. chaplainmikey
I think you've really managed to capture the atmosphere and feel of a lot of the Grey Knights artwork in your model. Just stunning work. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/304316-grey-knights-librarian-conversion/#findComment-3976026 Share on other sites
Interrogator Stobz
Fat baby always freaks me out, but that aside you have created a fantastic GK Libby! Great shading and OSL, I would have liked to see a bit more on the robes, they look a little flat but I keep getting impressed by the grey. Well done. Machine God
There are only 3 Candles. There should have been Four Candles! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/304316-grey-knights-librarian-conversion/#findComment-3978131 Share on other sites

Thanks for the comment, I agree the robes are pretty weak. I haven't really worked out a good recipe as I'm new to painting cream cloth. I've picked up some Zandri Dust to build up from in future. Regarding the candles, I'm not exactly sure what they're from as a friend gave them to me, but I think they are part of some old metal Dark Elf Cauldron of Blood kit. I have a few more of them, they come in longer rows but I cut them up.
