Median
So I'm making a renegade list for an upcoming league and I'm curious if you can have both mortars and quad launchers in the same battery? Any thoughts on it? :-) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/304430-renegade-field-artillery-battery-question/ Share on other sites
Lord Asvaldir
RAW wise I think you can't. The entry says quad guns OR mortars, which leads me to believe you can't, but I'm really not positive on that. Median
That's how I read it as well, I figure if its not 100% clear then I'll avoid any potential issues and not mix them up :-) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/304430-renegade-field-artillery-battery-question/#findComment-3972762 Share on other sites
Castellan Cato
Thats an interesting question.... My response would be: Why would you need to mix them? They're the same points and have wildly different ranges. It makes more tactical sense to keep all the guns in a unit the same. Median
It was kinda for template placement on the barrages. If I dropped the mortar first with its larger template then all the smaller templates would roll off it and cover a bigger area. I was thinking with the purge formation that much dangerous terrain would irritate the enemy trying to advance as well.
