Night Lords 2k

I have to bring an army with me on a trip and while I will be able to switch out troops, my vehicles I bring are what I have for several weeks. I was trying for a fun list that isn't too overpowering as some of the players in my group are starting to complain my 30k stuff is too powerful(despite it having been beaten several times). Their main issue with 30k they cant adapt to my ever changing list styles. I never play the same list twice. One day I play drop pod assault, the next I play AV14 and terminator spam, the next aircraft spam.

Anyway I decided to play a set list for a few games at a lower points than what I normally play. It would be easy to ramp up and add points.

Night Lords 2k- Terror Assault

Sevatar- rides with a short terror squad

Terror Squad- x5 meltabomb, flamer, chain glaive, art armor Drop pod

Terror Squad- x5 Meltabomb, flamer, chain Glaive, art armor drop pod

Terror Squad- x10 chain glaive, meltabomb, Volkites x10 Drop pod

Terror Squad- x10 chain glaive, meltabomb, Volkites x10 Drop pod

Night Raptors x10 2 chain glaives, melta bomb, art armor, 3 plasma pistols

Contemptor mortis, kheres assault cannon

Lighting 2x TL autocannon, 2 Kraken missiles

Fire Raptor with Reapers

What I have considered was dropping a 5 man and adding to the escort squad for Sevatar. It would free up points although I am not sure what I would then do with those spare points. I cant figure out how to add in a Death Storm drop pod but I lack the heavy slot.

A lot of times I post these just to get input that I might not have thought of and help organize my painting priorities. Working on the hand to hand Terror squad currently.

Hmm just looking at it for the raptors I wouldn't put three plasma pistols in them. If you want them just take one. If you can try to take a deredo or a dreadnought talon instead if the Mortis. That would free up your anti tank. To do this probalby take five out of the terror squad. Try to max out your terror squads to potentially use talent for murder. Hope that helps. Take all this with a grain of salt I don't even have the book this is mostly based off what I've heard.

Agree with the Plasma Pistols.

Deredeo Is Heavy Support so its either and Eddy or the Fire Raptor. More consistent Anti-Air/Armor but less Dakka to spread around.

If he's running the RoW he's stuck with 3 minimum Terror Squads. Might be better to have 2 10x and 1 9x + Sevatar.

Lightnings are a safe bet but be wary of Deredeos. It can potentially kill both in a single turn - even the one they arrive on due to interceptor/skyfire and being able to shoot at different targets.

If you take a Deredeo over the Fire Raptor, you can turn the Contemptor-Mortis into a Normal Contemptor with Kheres + Chainfist w/ Graviton for an all-round threat and if you have the points even give it a drop pod (can't do this if the talon has 2+ dreads).

As it is, a Mortis Kheres isn't the best anti air choice due to 24". Autocannons and Lascannons are arguably better choices due to 48"
