I'll just leave this here.......

Cpt. Gracus slams into the mud with a grunt. Pinned by the foot of the iron giant that was once his brother, he struggled to reach his sidearm. The giant's dark steel armour a stark contrast to his golden warplate.

"This is madness, we were brothers! We unified the galaxy! Why?" he spat through the blood in his mouth.

" Because, I must. The false Emperor betrayed us, His palace will fall." The giant stated in his monotone voice. He was big, even for an Astartes. His armour, uncharacteristically ornate for a member of the IVth, was covered in a mix of soot, mud, and blood. His blood the Imperial Fist noticed with a sickening feeling.

"The palace will fall."

"NEVER!", Gracus howled. " You may take the outer wall but you'll never reach the Palace." He gasped. He was slipping away, and he knew it.
"Walls fail, the Fists do not!"

"Yes, walls fail." the giant droned, lifting his thunder hammer over his head. "and it appears that you do as well". With that, the hammer comes down with the force of a drop pod.

"WAI..." His last word is cut short. Ended with a wet crunch as his head is obliterated into a crater of mud and gore.

The trench, left by the hammerhead dragged through the mud, was filling with blood and water as Commander Bors made his way back to his soldiers.

" What are our orders, sir?", his master of signal queried.

"Tell the men full attack, it seems the sons of Dorn are optimistic." He commanded "Show them otherwise."

Commander Bors turned and looked at the Imperial palace. The shelling of the outer walls had already been going for two days. He was ready to take the palace. and he knew the Dragoons on the opposite flank were as well.

"Yes, my little Fist." he whispered.

"Walls do fail."

Yeah, it'd have to be Scarlet or other-verb-for-red instead of Iron. Also, with the Angel Leader being referred to as a Giant I got the assumption of a Dreadnought before I did Terminator.

Traitor Blood Angels, however, will be very cool to see done; I look forward to this.

I am not doing blood angels.....that's my sons project. but I am going to do some IW's, because reasons......

although, I had envisioned a project based on the "nature vs. nurture thread......so you may see some traitorous sanguinites

no, you will. that sound too cool to pass up. I'll put it in my future projects list.

for now it's fluff. I have a few (ok, 12) commissions to hammer out. for a Warmahordes league coming up. they chose me cause I refuse to use and airbrush for now(i am in the market for one though.)

It's probably just as quick for me to correct it myself, than to identify where each error is.

Hopefully that's most of it. Mainly did a bit of comma splicing, and capitalizing where needed.

Dallo

so yeah, I couldn't sleep well last night!

kept dreaming of HUGE cannons, hazard stripes, and metal..........

haven't had obsession like this in a while.

actually ordered a 5 man set of MKIII armor with phobos bolters last night.

damn, it starts again, don't it.

Snap! A single set of Mk III was also how I started out my Iron Warriors. Feel free to check out my thread. I managed to paint an entire model! biggrin.png C&C is appreciated.

Can I humbly suggest that you edit your original post to include my grammar fixes? smile.png

Cheers.

Regarding the shield, I'm part of a Scottish 12th century reenacting cell. We're not quite vikings, though there are groups that do that. It's pretty good fun, though my shield is nowhere near as pristine now, as it was when that photo was taken.

I look forward to seeing your guys get some paint.

Dallo

First post edited. now, I apparently need to order paint. And as I have lost everything hobby related not once but TWICE, I am in a unique position to start fresh.

I'm thinking Vallejo Acrylics. I like them, I was going to stock them in the hobby store i was going to start. but the storage fire obliterated everything. Nerdrage will rise again. (just got to come up with another 150K start up funds)

I still have a bunch of Kolinski sable brushes, so I'm good there.

You're actually not the first person to say that the hazard stripes are red. They're actually purple in real life, because reasons. Perhaps the picture appears more reddish on some peoples screens? huh.png

Thanks for the kind words. I hope to get a bit of work done on them at the weekend.

Sorry to hear about your hobby related losses. Any reason you're shying away from GW paints? I've only ever heard good things about their metallics. I'm currently being oldskool and using boltgun metal and mithril silver, mainly because I still have them in decent quantities, and it seems a waste not to use them.

Dallo

but......colour theory is awesomeyes.gif

so, the main point of this thread is to gel some ideas for a few projects detailing heroes(and villains) from the siege of Terra.

not the the big guys, but the SGT's holding the line and such. so suggestions are welcome and encouraged. If a suggestion is awesome, it may get added to my "must do" list.

when I have a good years worth of projects listed, I'll start a "collected visions" thread much like my pal BCK.
