28mm Inquisitor or 40k forces in Necromunda Rules?

Hi all,

I am looking at more than just using my smaller scale project for 40k and want to look at another system to play them in.

Now I would be using an Inquisitor with his retinue (Arbite like Assassins) vs Some Variety of Space Wolves (most likely Scout Pack lead by Wolf Guard) (and later on possibly Orks and other races).

My first thought was to look into Inquisitor at a 28mm scale as I have heard this can be done well and the models being used can be proxied with existing characters stat lines/rules. After a bit of research it would appear a lot of people do a similar thing with Necromunda, now I have played neither bar a Necromunda game 10 odd years ago which I just did as I was told.

My question to the B+C universe is which do you think a two casual gamers of 40k would enjoy more?

If you have alternative suggestions or something to share that would draw me to one or the other please post.

Thanks!

Finding stats for most 40k stuff in Necromunda is as trivial as finding them in a Second Edition source book. Necromunda (and GorkaMorka) is functionally the same combat engine, with a few additional bits like ammo rolls. Even the gang rating is simply 10 times the second ed points costs.

I expect there are legit .pdf's from authorized mirrors of the Necromunda rule book floating about as they released it as a free download from specialist games near the end. I closed a bunch of holes in my second ed collection by haunting used book shops.

Noctem, I believe there is a version of Necromunda that merges Inquisitor and Necromunda. It's called something like "Inquisimunda". It could possibly be out there waiting for us both to find. Of course, that could just be some name someone came up with but it seems to have merit.

Hi there, sorry for the slightly late reply... check out yakromunda. Its a forum/gang tracker mainly for necromunda, but also caters for gorka and mordheim.

If you register (not a big deal, same as signing up here) then go in the vault section, there are copies of necromunda (comuntiy edition if your after smoothest revision), and you can also find in there the inquistimunda rules. Hope that helps smile.png

Edit: also the forum there has a dedicated section for I-munda, and if you run into any trouble with the rules then forum will be able to provide answers from folks who know the system (some of whom helped write the system!)
