Everon Posted March 21, 2015 Share Posted March 21, 2015 So I have been contemplating the idea of this and was curious on people's thoughts of rollen with an imperial fortress. 500 points for 4 walls 2 towers and a gate that is normal for you must be destroyed for opponent to siege in which it becomes dangerous terrain. Everything is considered mighty and massive (holds 30 units and av 15) and can add tl anti air and tl anti ground for extra costs. Also all troops reroll ones to hit and a 6+ fnp and everything gets a 3+ cover save if not in the bunker. This is in forge world's apocalypse book. Is it worth it to try and make one? That being said, for the modelling and painting aspect of it and possibly using it in Apoc.. Have an I knight in the middle bombing away over the walls. It is at bare minimum a tile size. I say bring on the siege. Will be fun to build. Anyone else think it is worth the price to field? But for average games? It won't even fit in your deployment! People have enough problems playing the Landing Pad legally. Yet, it would be glorious to see on a table, and we'd finally have a use for the Magaera. We have none, and if we camp at range we just die without doing anything all game. Ally Imperial Guard if you wanna do that. It's not much damage output really. Not compared to other armies. Not to mention Dreads are not that resiliant anymore. Ally if you want long-range firepower. Ours is overcosted. Apparently the technology to shoot bolter round slightly further and more is so precious and lost, we only have one example left. Meanwhile, no squad leaves Titan without at least one psycannon. Y'know, pre-Emperor artifacts created by the first interstellar human empire, and mostly lost to the ages. That no one knows how to make more of, and few can use due to the ammo needing a psyker to activate it.
