tubby131313 Posted March 24, 2015 Share Posted March 24, 2015 I have been thinking about building something 40k related for some time now, since I have some time off I thought I'd give it a try. I narrowed my choices to a chain axe or a plasma pistol, after drawing some plans I decided on the chain axe. So I broke out the carpentry tools and some MDF and this is what I've done so far. The pieces for the sides of the blades are made of 1/4" x 1 1/8" Lattice. The bodies of the blades, the one on the left has had the edges beveled with a router. The blades had to lose some weight and my ancient jigsaw did the job. What I ended up with after the first day. There are a few more pics in my gallery. I'm not sure what colors it is going to be painted, so if anybody has an idea let me know. As always I welcome any Comments, Criticism, and thinly veiled threats.
