Official Duncan Rhodes Painting Guide for DV

Cpt. Bannockburn

Recommended Posts

This will be helpful.  I have found a few different guides but the results aren't always what I had in mind.  My first Deathwing terminators came out too yellowish-white (like a cream color) until, through trial and error, I found the colors that work (which just happen to be GW's "Bone Paint" bundle, I later discovered.

I've got the hang of it now but the videos will still be worth a watch.

I may have a little man-crush on that guy. I'm suspecting he's a painting droid built by GW, because he always uses the exact same phrases.

Anyways, it's rather basic, but it'll produce great tabletop quality miniatures, IMO.

I do like the videos a lot. I watch him paint the dreaded Biker and think... why couldn't I just simplify things like that? I have such a stupidly long process, and at the end of the day is all the extra time REALLY worth it if I never finish the army?

I love how he has a very simple approach that gets a lot of bang for the buck out of his time invested.
