Skitarii with Grey Knights

Recommended Posts

Hello brothers! we are just at few days of the official skitarii codex release, and some rules and units are leaked,

so... what do you think about these new codex

would they fit into our lists?

I found the Rangers, the perfect addition to my GK list...

cheap and powerful.

Yeah, I'm already planning on buying a bunch of rangers. I can't wait to see what else they can bring.

Rangers with arc rifles=yum.

The part I'm most interested in now is the availability of transports. That can make or break them. (Or we could bring tons of BA pods and share with them as well)

Conversion field /sigh.

Please get someone with a brain to read your rules GW.

So the *wearer* of the Conversion field *and* whatever unit he is in also make the blind save...

Ugh.

I think that's intentional, hence why they write that friendlies get to reroll the save.

I'm more worried about the effect of Rad-saturation on the unit and friendlies..

Wow, these guys look best off on their own. I can see most competitive players might just hook up with these guys, and ally an assault unit (if needed) from some other codex. A GK Termie squad and Libby would probably be all you need. But again, not sure if you'll even need it with cheap AV 11 walkers with built in cover.

If that's a taste of the army I have to say it looks like 'techie IG'. It's not as... junky as IG (good stats all around) but not as pricey pointswise as I thought it might be.

I think they bring a good amount of shootiness for their cost. 500 points will buy a fair bit of at the very least moderately scary mid-to-long-range firepower, giving them the choice of trying to get to and kill our skitarii or our GK units.

The rangers come with 30" s4 ap4 rapir-fire precision shot guns, which should help us with necrons...

I think that's intentional, hence why they write that friendlies get to reroll the save.

I'd assume that would be for seperate squads standing next to the unit in question.

Not for the dude wearing the Conversion Field himself.

Back in RT you could ignore the blind if you had auto reactive sensors (IIRC). Which all SM PA did. msn-wink.gif

I dunno guys. I mean, AV11 is...not that tough, even with built in 5+ cover.

As for the infantry, they do bring a lot of plasma firepower at short range, but their rad-aura is annoying if you wanna attach our characters to them, and they're just Stormtroopers with 6+ FNP at the end of the day. I do like their guns though.
