this way there's something durable on the table on turn one in case i roll poorly on my deep strike rolls.

'Fury' is a waste of points. I'd also drop the halberds and falchions, you don't need them (keep the hammers, you do need them). You need a heavy psycannon on your second DK, it's a mandatory upgrade. The Castigator is a solid choice, it adds an anti-MC and 3+ save component to our firepower, and it has reasonable odds of killing Flyers and grounding FMC's (not great but better than any GK unit). Plus it can handle hordes very easily.

I'd say make those changes and you have a solid list.

Agreed on Fury, but the other options are already modeled, and he may not be up for snapping off arms and whatnot.  The Halberd and Falchion upgrades spread around his Terminators aren't a huge investment, so he might as well leave well enough alone.  Agreed on adding the other Heavy Psycannon though, if he can buy the bit and add it on.

you're right val, since it's a used army i bought second hand, and it was made back in 5th edition, i simply don't have the bitz to change anything out.  these 15 guys are the nicest and least paint-globbed of the bunch so that's why i went with this layout.  i was lucky to find 3 guys with swords amongst all of those dudes. sooo many halberds everywhere.  there's easily another 10 bodies, but they all have special weapons and melee options that just wont work outside of paladin squads. fury is just there to use points and stay wysiwyg; theres not alot i can take thats useful for 10pts that is already modeled on something.

  1. start assembly as normal for the legs.  when you make the hip section, cut off the extension that becomes the operators belt, and smooth it out to be level with the targeter on the right hip. also trim off the pads where the operators feet would normally sit.
  2. continue torso assembly.
  3. repeat removal of waist assembly on torso piece, making it flush.
  4. carefully remove the side panels of a librarian dreadnought front panel, leaving the center and the librarian force cables.
  5. mount this onto the torso.
  6. take the cabling details from the operator harness, and attach these flanking the piece you just added.
  7. trim the terminator helmet to fit, and glue into place.
  8. weapons are trimmed and mounted onto the shoulders where the hydraulics would mount for the arms.
  9. choose a banner you like, and mount on the waist to hide where the operator legs would have been.

thats about it.

I absolutely hate the DreadKnight model, so when I saw your pictures and these helpful instructions I immediately went to work. I'm not very good at converting stuff on this scale, but I think a little bit of paint and some green stuff can fix the imperfections. Thanks for this awesome and easy to follow directions!!

Here's what I came up with (idk how to post in thread.)
