Quickened Meph wit S10 is devastating against almost anything in the game bar dedicated CC deathstars, which admitedly, Meph does get owned by. Even though it seems like 10 points for storm shields is expensive, if one of them tanks 2 AP2 shots before it dies to the 3rd, it just saved Meph. No brainer and a huge force multiplier.
