Conscripts rules help

To me this all seems silly when people agree on certain limits but try to stretch the lines with others.

Platoon is a foc entry with options. It has certain minimums and maximums. Same as a marine squad.

Platoons come at a minimum of pcs and 20 guardsmen. Marines start at 5.

Parts of these can be upgraded or built on. Platoon more than the marines but the limits are clear. You can't take the plasma cannon without the marine carrying it nor the conscript squad without the platoon housing it.

Precisely...yet...in the end, EVERYTHING is either:

a) needs opponent's permission, as you can't force anyone to play a "friendly" against you.

b) at the discretion of a tournament organizer.

So these interwebz arguments are certainly stimulating...but, ultimately, you might categorize them as intellectual masturbation.  It really doesn't matter what we say, either your prospective opponent will agree to your proposal or he'll find himself another opponent.
