Restarting The engines...

So, I have been playing off and on since the long lost days of second edition, but I haven't really been much for painting until the last for weeks.

So, I decided to go with an old familiar friend and decided to play the blood angels, as I played them every time I have decided to dabble in the grimdark future that is wallethammer.

So, I picked up a box of Sanguinary guard, the new tactical squad and the sanguinary priest blister.

First off, I want to say I love the 30 mm bases. Space marines occupy more space than a guardsmen. I plan on a lot of base modeling with future projects.

Anyway, I opened and assembled the TAC squad with flamers and (the below pictured) Vet. Sargent

HOLY MOLDLINES BATMAN!

The models were nice, but I can feel the effects of the new digital sculpting. It felt nice to have something made just for the blood angels, but it was a little lack luster. It needed an update IMHO.

It was nice to come back to the hobby with a new roster of cool models to pick up, but I would have rather had a plastic Vampire Jesus...

The sanguinary guard went together smoothly, with nothing to notable as they were out last time I had an army...

The sanguinary priest, the one model that cost as much as a a box of Death company, was a little wonky to assemble, the robes seems would not line up, save for some filing...

So, here is my WIP Blood angels.

I have a long way to go still, but here they are...

I am looking for suggestions and or constructive criticism...

Talking trash is to easy these days lmao!!
