Beerhammer
Power to the Iron Tenth! So I have decided that the Iron Hands is the legion that fits my play style .... Tanks, Troops and Transports (triple T). I also love the look of the Immortals (not the rules but the models) and the Gorgons. So here is a list that I have been thinking of as my beginning force. Please CC , since I have not played a 30k game but many 40k games. +++ Beginning Iron Hands (1000pts) +++ ++ Legiones Astartes: Crusade Army List ((Zone Mortalis) Combatant) (1000pts) ++ + HQ (125pts) + Legion Centurion (125pts) [Artificer Armour, Combi-Weapon, Cyber-familiar, Melta Bombs, Refractor Field, Thunder Hammer] + Elites (355pts) + Apothecarion Detachment (130pts) Legion Apothecary [Artificer Armour, Combi-weapon] Legion Apothecary [Artificer Armour, Combi-weapon] Contemptor Dreadnought Talon (225pts) Legion Contemptor Dreadnought [blessed Autosimulacra, Chainfist with inbuilt twin-linked Bolter, Plasma Blaster, Plasma Cannon] + Troops (225pts) + Legion Tactical Squad (225pts) [14x Legion Tactical Space Marines, Legion Vexilla] Legion Tactical Sergeant [Artificer Armour, Melta Bombs] + Heavy Support (295pts) + Legion Heavy Support Squad (295pts) [Autocannons, 9x Legion Space Marines] Legion Sergeant [Artificer Armour] So my plan is to start playing Zone Mortalis games then move on to larger games. Thank you for your input and considerations. Beerhammer OUT! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/305345-iron-hands-beginning-force-1k/ Share on other sites
Brofist
If you're spending 125 points on a centurion without any specialist upgrades, consider a praetor instead. You'll have better stats and better wargear options. LolSkalatrax
if you want beatstick on this point level better take praetor ofc. but i think here chaplain or forge lord with rad grenades will give you better CC potential if you take chapi, you just buy him AA and take PAxe which included. drop simulacra, on tac sergeant take PWeapon, and you can give the whole tac blob CCWs, and drop vexilia - you will have zealot. so this squad will have really better CC than ordinary tac squad with centurion. if you love the immortal models you can use them as breachers, pretty cool troops in ZM. my IMHO, in ZM 10 squad ACannons will be useful only to scratch your opponent contemptors. better take volkite awesome culverins.
