I may have bits left to make an Iron Hands praevian. Not much, but it was either Skitarii or a new FW order, and the call from Mars was louder than the legiones. Might pledge said Skitarii as PDF forces for a second vow by the time Tempest is released.

the fact that you hold faith in the false machine god, in the face of the imperial truth, proves your legions weakness. your breed are just lucky that Lorgar ruined his sons. had he not, I am confident that medusa would have burned under the cold gaze of the Iconoclasts.

count your imaginary machine blessings, brother of the flesh-spare.

The Emperor is self-proclaimed Omnissiah brother, would you dare challenge his word? Must I drop yet another gauntlet, and stake the claim of superiority of an augmented legionnaire, and the weakness of flesh?

I'd strip it and turn it into a warmachine of the IVth

This is heresy! THIS IS MADNESS!

You sir just earned yourself a duel slap, and since our hands are iron, you will feel the burn of your shame twofold!

Choise your weapons of choice you slack jawed daffodil!

A duel? Cousin, you might want to reconsider. The brethren of the IV Legion don't waste time with your frail concepts of honour. show up alone with a charnabal sabre, and you'll most likely be facing a 20 man firing squad.

Their own ego and little man complex would prevail upon them to attempt it. They crave the recognition they were denied for so long.

Hark, what's this I hear? Someone picking a fight with Hyaenidae? This should be fun. ^_^

Ahhh Brother. Your precious Iconoclasts would've been sent running by The Battle Kings, Lorgars depravity or not. Count yourself fortunate he spared you the embarrassment.

(Also, I'm in for Guilliman 20 veletarii and at least 2 knight of house Vyronii. I may also do 6 lemon russes)

Well boys were ever getting closer and closer to the beginning of etl and it's good to see the fires of war burning.

In fact as I have ditched my blood angels this year my fell blade will be joining my arsenal of 4th legion war machines.

This will be the last vow I undertake as I want everything else finished first

To deny the superiority of iron is to accept the blindness bred within your decaying flesh, the failure which has shadowed your hobbled Legion since its inception. Your own gene father spurned your failed brotherhood, condeming one in ten to death for your crime of failure. You hide the weakness of your flesh beneath iron, unwilling to accept the flaw bred into your very bones.

Every scrap of flesh replaced brings us one step closer to fulfilling our purpose, to achieving the galactic unification we were made to achieve. Only the machine can make us more than we were engineered to be.

Now you know why we have mecha harnesses. Multipule slaps at a time!

If Hyaenidae fails the challenge, he must take a a tenth of his models out and have the other nine beat them to death.

Without power weapons.

Brother, that's called a standard training event in the IV Legion. Matter of fact, I'm pretty sure that it's mandatory to do re-qualification semi-annually.  :P

That's nothing. If hyaenidea fails he has to count the iron warriors ammunition. All of it. If he doesn't he is beaten to the edge of death and told to recount. And because I'm a fair man you have 2 hours to do it.

So, the threat is to give me access to an unlimited amount of explosives, including weapons of mass destruction, and then you come back 2 hours later with an intent to harm.

I accept, Son of Dorn. I'm sure that'll not blow up in your face, at all.

I see the cross that the 1st company of the Imperial Fists Legion nail themselves upon emblazoned across him, brother.

One cannot hold a heart of gold under the shadow of midnight clad, cousin Marshal.

(C'mon, I gotta tease the Black Templar player a little. It's in my nature, I can't help it :P )

(just wanted to make sure you were aware ;))

ON WITH THE PRE-ETL HYPE-PRODDING!

Nah, man. Good natured ribbing aside, we are still united, one brotherhood who all once stood under the flag of the Great Crusade. No matter what, that can never be taken away, and it is something only one living being of the 41st Millennium can claim.

The ETL belongs to the Legions, this time and forever more.

Besides, why fight each other with our awesome Volkite Weapons and other advanced tech created through scientific advancement, when we could just use them to crush the puny resistance the inhabitants of the 41st Millennium would put up :P

I mean, c'mon. They send ~100 marines to deal with planetary scale problems whereas we send Thousands with liberal application of Collegia Titanica, Solar Auxilia (the better IG :p) , etc.

In our time period, we're on the offensive. They're on the defensive. Big difference :P

The VII and the X, glory hounds and strutting peacocks all, dare to impugn the character and accomplishments of the IV? This is bad comedy. Not a single one of you preening braggarts understands duty as the IV does, and only the VIII knows it better.

There is no glory or pride to be had in what we do at the Emperor's behest. There is only purpose and duty. That should be sustenance enough for any Astartes.

-Vitury "The Juggernaut" Vidorin, Praetor of the VIII Legion, IX Company

So, I'm gonna give this a shot with a 9-man squad of Cataphractii and a TDA Praetor. :)

Shivers, bro. I got shivers.

Shivers, bro. I got shivers.

Given your awesome writings, I'll take that as high praise, brother. thumbsup.gif

I figure there can only be a limited amount of Night's Children to be pulled from dark holes in the ground and the ranks of the VIII need to be filled with other stock, so why not put someone that's not necessarily a stealth expert in the heaviest, loudest armor? And why not make the leader of said unit a slightly unhinged Russ(ian) that's nigh unkillable?

Comedy you say? True comedy is when you realize that Iron Warriors now have a star on their chests. Why? They get a star whenever they survive telling Perturabo bad news. If you noticed, none have more than a single star, because they never live that long.
