crucial
Now a CSM related question thanks to the daemonkin codex (which im rapidly coming round to after a few days worth of digesting.) What base size do these use? Round ended biker/cavalry bases or 40mm? Models are supplied with the whfb cavalry bases. Unit type is 'beasts' and the pictures in the new 'dex shows them on 40mm terminator bases... argh Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/305423-khorne-daemonkin-flesh-hound-base-size/ Share on other sites

Forté
The Space Wolves puppies go on 40mm too so it's the most likely, even if the bike bases make more sense. Lucio
I'm going to be using biker bases for my Flesh Hounds, 40mm will be a little large for what I have in mind. Smurfalypse
I have mine on Biker bases, however i think the round bases look much much better on the table. I only did mine that way because in 6th edition it specifically mentioned that Beasts were to be on those bases :*( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/305423-khorne-daemonkin-flesh-hound-base-size/#findComment-3995229 Share on other sites

UlsanGamer
*Mind explodes* 50mm????? If I go with chaos warhounds they will look tiny on a 50mm base. Brother Mayhem
Yeah, I think they're 50mm on the GW site. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/305423-khorne-daemonkin-flesh-hound-base-size/#findComment-3995497 Share on other sites

Vomikron Noxis
Yeh I'm sticking with my 40mm bases for now at least. I use the original flesh hounds and they'll look tiny on 50mm. Plus until GW produce some hard and fast rules about base sizes, none of us are obliged to do anything. 40kChrista
I have plastic Warhounds on both bike/calvary bases (Flesh Hounds) and 40mm round (Warhounds for Renegade Ogryn), and they look much better on the 40mm. So much so I'm planning on going through and re-basing the ones on the calvary bases. If they're doing Flesh Hounds on 50mm... I *might* get them if they're plastic... if not, well, I'll stick to plastic Warhounds on 40mm. Uprising
I personally use mine on 40mm(they are the old metal warhounds) because I use them for flesh hounds MOK/no marks spawns, and hounds for renegade orgyns. UlsanGamer
Could be nothing. Maybe lots of people are buying Flesh Hounds. But they are now temporarily out of stock on the webstore. Trokair
Mine are on Bike bases, and if I get any more I will put them on bike bases so that the unit looks uniform. 40mm I can understand but 50mm seems exsseive. crucial
40mm I can understand but 50mm seems exsseive. Agreed. Atleast those new 32mm marine bases made sense but not centurion bases for dogs damnit. Tenebris
Truth be told with all this bases changes I am a bit scared of assembling my Daemons of Tzeentch. Now Screamers are a given since they have the jetbike bases, so is the Burning Chariot, but I am wondering which bases will be applied to Horrors, Flamers and Heralds in the future. I think that the old 25mm/40mm is no longer viable. totgeboren
I got mine on rectangular cavalry bases, because that is what they were on on the GW page when I assembled them. They would probably look better on round bases, but re-basing 20 models with metal slots and all that just feels like too much of a hassle. Khornestar
I decided to put all of mine on the round cavalry bases and that's all there is to it. Can't imagine it will ever be an issue. 50mm just seems silly.
