Icarsun
I was just looking at the Kamikaze Sentinel thread and an idea just struck to me. The C:CSM Warlord Trait "Master of Deception" allows you to give Infiltrate (which also grant Outflank) to D3 Infantry units "In your army". Taking Huron or Ahriman would be a good way to guarantee this. But thinking of what units it would be best to give this to. At the moment I'm thinking flamer Infantry squads with a dedicated Flamer Chimera, but what other uses could we have for this? Aristeo
Dude that's crazy I was looking at allying a small force of Alpha Legion and was thinking the same thing just yesterday. You'd need to figure out different tactics for how to use your force based on what you roll though. Rolling a 1 almost makes it not worth it. On the other hand Huron is pretty cheap for what he does. Caustic63
Master of the Ambush is statistically the better trait, but knowing for sure you have Master of Deception when you start the game (by taking an appropriate special character) is worth something too. I disagree that the chance of rolling a '1' makes the trait not worth it... it's always a good idea to build a list around MoD that includes one unit that you will always Infiltrate such as Rhino mounted Chosen/Thousand Sons, Obliderators, or Flamers of Tzeentch and have two units that would be nice to Infiltrate but it's not vital. Castellan Cato
Mutant hordes may not be a bad idea for your troops slots. They have a chance to roll scout and come in as back up. Lagrath
I was at a tournament today where I rolled Master of Ambush. The special mission gimmick was that objectives "take off" and get captured permanently on a 5+ if you are holding it at the START of your turn. So I infiltrated up 3 squads totaling 45 renegades and put them on top of objectives so the other side couldn't move to claim them and so I could start rolling early. Was pretty cool. Master of Ambush is also neat since you can put your garbage warlord with some other squad and infiltrate them too.
