norngahl
Hey there! This is a SoH list which focusses on the SoH strength to bring reserves in easily. It uses the optional onslaught organisation chart found in HH Vol 2 in combination with pride of the Legion. Legion Praetor, Paragon Blade, Iron Halo, Digital Lasers 165 Apothecarius, AA, PS, AS 70 8 Veterans, 6xPW, Vexilla, AA, Dreadclaw 355 Lightning, TL-Lascannon, 4 Kraken-Penetrator Shells, Servitor 200 Fire Raptor, Reaper Cannon 210 Fire Raptor, Reaper Cannon 210 Sicaran Battle Tank, HB 155 Sicaran Battle Tank, HB 155 =1500 First thing is, the enemy always gets the first turn. Well, that's great, because my army starts in reserve. While he can't alpha strike me, I'll alpha strike him. In the first round only the drop pod comes in, deepstrikes into hover mode and jinks. I'M pretty sure it wont get shot. Round 2, army arrives, I'll propably eat all armoured targets with ease, leaving the infantery in the open for heavy dakka and in reach of the praetor veteran squad, which will be immediatly in cc thanks to dreadclaw assault vehicle usr, so they won't soak any enemy fire except overwatch;) Remember it's only 1500 points, there won't be much on the field to handle this list. And yes, my friend i'm going to face deserves a list like this. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/305522-1500-soh-badass/ Share on other sites

Moonstalker
Rites of War are incompatible with the optional force orgs. See page 164 of Massacre. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/305522-1500-soh-badass/#findComment-3996838 Share on other sites
Hesh Kadesh
As said, Rites of War are only not for the 3 optional FoC's. Not sure why, but then neither does FW likely. Some wierd notion of balance. The drop pod cannot jink either on the turn it comes in, so needs to avoid Interceptor arcs of fire (Deredeo etc). At 1500pts as well, the little existing balance breaks down into rock paper shotgun really. Either you brought a tool or you didn't. In other words, winning by gimmick.
