Demus Ragnok
First, I'm not a competitive player. I don't even have anywhere to play at the moment. I want to add a small Grey Knights allied unit to my army. I'm building an army that fits with an ongoing story I'm writing for my DIY C:SM chapter so this is a fluffy narrative thing I'm looking for. My question is, based on the following, what units would you pick to fill about 500 points in a NSF. Fluff snippet: " Who is the greatest warrior among your brotherhood? Should he need to be stopped it will be martial skill and not psychic might that shall lay him low." The he in the should he statement being a space marine captain. Zembar
For 530 points you get a nemesis strike force with: HQ: 1 librarian (110 pts) Troops: 5xTerminators, one with hammer, one with psycannon (195 pts) Heavy support: Nemesis dreadknight, personal teleporter, heavy psycannon, heavy incinerator. Nemesis greatsword(225 pts) For some options you can change the heavy incinerator for a heavy psilencer(add ten more points), or make the librarian ML3(another 25) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/305578-need-help-with-gk-army-idea/#findComment-3997627 Share on other sites

But I was looking for something....outside of that particular box. Zembar
If you want something else I'd switch the NDK for interceptors, or possibly purifiers. Or just more terminators For a different HQ I'd recommend the GM, and in the troop department I recommend you stay with the terminators. They're both fluffy and good. And strike squads make me sad. Everon
For your story just a strike squad is very typical drop. For actual army to go with fluff and not real competition I would say a 10 man strike with at least one incenerator and a pyscannon, A brother captain, and a techmarine. Spend additional points on upgrades. But that is the fluffiest thing for a story I can think of on a table Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/305578-need-help-with-gk-army-idea/#findComment-3997946 Share on other sites
Emicus
Hmm if you are looking for physical models to represent your story, wouldn't you know your own mind best? From a gaming and getting as much oomph as possible, the above 500 point list would do you well. Or if you are running Centurions you could grab a Librarian, 5 man strike squad and Draigo. Centurionstar, Libriarian for presience, 5 man strike squad tax, 35 points spare for gravy. Ti-hi. This could even fit with your fluff snippet as Draigo is a real hardass when it comes to fluff, and no slouch on the table either. Possibly not cut out for a glorified taxi-service for centurions but if his tactical genius is anywhere near the fluff he would certainly do it.. if he wasn't so busy in the warp that is.
