Taking a break from infantry to work on some armor. Totally off brand for White Scars, but I've always wanted to do this conversion and its the only way it'll ever see paint (someday at that).

This is stunning work Anton, absolutely fantastic!

Thanks man. I'm still playing with the ERA placement to get that right balance of 'busy', but its almost done:

Just got a few bits left... then its time for the dreaded gap fill before studio shots

It's hard to imagine almost ten years passing since my original dive into the heresy with an Iron Warriors army. Early on, I was eager to bring to life the visions pouring out of me. My style shifted, skills improved, and tastes changed... life ebbed and flowed. Projects came and went from my shelf.

On the cusp of the 3rd edition, I'm taking stock of my current skills, my project backlog, and thinking about where I want to be in the next decade. This means saying bye to old friends to make room for new adventures.

My focus will be White Scars. My Iron Warriors- the guys that started it all will - will get rolled into the WS. By this, I mean revisiting older projects from this thread originally intended for them... re-concepting where I can in order to breathe life back into old projects. They won't be Iron Warriors anymore, but this way I'll keep their spirit alive and get them into a completed army. There's some opportunity here too, as this brings new dynamics into the space of the White Scars, one of the least played legions. Things like artillery and tanks aren't as 'on brand' for them, so there's room to build new stories for that legion visually. I want to do jet bikes and the lot too, so there will be a balance, but my intent is to re-concept as many of the older IW projects as I can. Not all will make it, but that's ok, and part of growing.

Got side tracked with new edition drama, but have still been working on stuff. Not really caring for the edition means I can work on things I've had as ideas for years, but never had an excuse to actually make. Here's my take on a vigilator. Came together surprisingly fast- the best kind of conversion, like the parts wanted to be together from the start

Thanks dude for following along. Appreciate you! I got a little gap fill and sculpting to do to wrap him up., Will try to incorporate some horse hair or other elements that make him feel a bit more like a white scar.

Cheers Pearson73. I'm thinking these guys will be auxillia. I'll run my old crows as militia... I don't want to redo them, and frankly, I love them for what they are. I def wanna come back to them eventually.

A big thing I'm focusing on before planning for next year's ZM event kicks off is to wrap up or bin as many old projects as possible. Veteran Posters Might Recognize my first vindicators, some of my first vehicles, custom models I smashed together before the first black book was out. Hard to believe they are from a decade ago. As I've dropped my IWs, I'm retrofitting things like them to work with my scars.

I originally planned to do 3 vindicators, because I'm insane, so here's an early WIP of a more contemporary 'big ass vindicator' using bits and skills I've picked up along the way. Most of the parts are from 10+ years ago. Spending all weekend scraping, cutting, and filing made me a little sentimental, but also appreciative of how much easier things are in the hobby.

Do I need to switch to another image host? Sorry that imgur is doing that to you.

@Brofist an easy workaround is setting up your own Galley/ Image hosting on the B&C. A tutorial can be found here.

FYI, this is a good work around but I would warn that the gallery system we use does mess with images a little bit. For example, it changes color saturation in the transcode of uploading content:

So this can be annoying for uploaders depending on what they are trying to do. It will still solve the issue but I stopped using the gallery for this specific reason.
