Obelisk gravity pulse

So, the Necron Obelisk gravity pulse forces flyers to treat all terrain as dangerous terrain. Does that mean that the flyer can't move more than a 1d6 inches?

From the Necron codex (edited): "All enemy flyers, skimmer, jetbike and FMC units treats all terrain within 18" of an Obelisk as dangerous terrain. ... Flyers and FMC must also take a Dangerous terrain test if they move within 18" of an Obelisk, even though they do not normally take dangerous terrain tests."

From the rulebook: "If a zooming flyer is forced to move less than 18" in its own movement phase, it is automatically Wrecked."

How does this really work? Do they automatically bring down our flyers within 18" or not?

With the exception of Walkers, vehicles do not get their movement reduced by difficult or dangerous terrain, they take a dangerous terrain test (which immobilises them if failed), but otherwise get to move normally.

Vehicles > Difficult and Dangerous Terrain: "Vehicles are not slowed down by difficult terrain. However, they treat all difficult terrain as dangerous terrain instead. A vehicle that fails a Dangerous Terrain test immediately loses one Hull Point and suffers an Immobilised result from the Vehicle Damage table."

Now, it can cause the Zoomer to Crash and Burn, but that's the opponent rolling a 1, then a 1 or 2. So, "Or what".

Gauss from Warriors actually have a better chance due to volume, as do the Tesla Orbs, then the Gravity Pulse. Only thing buffed on the Obelisk was its AV and the bonuses from the Living Tomb Formation.
