1440 Pts

The librarian and terminators in one land raider, the second purifier squad will be combat squadded with both transported in the second land raider, and the first purifier squad will also be combat squadded halberds in one and the psycannons in the other.

What do you think? I want it to be competitive enough to win a few games but also fun.

Librarian - Halberd, storm bolter, Mastery level 3, Liber demonica

Take falchions man, you don't need a halberd. Drop the storm bolter too. Mastery 3 is good, so is Liber. Take Divination as your main lore though, then get a free random Sanctic power on top of it.

Troops - 195

5 Terminators - Halberds, psycannon

Drop the halberds, give one of them a hammer instead. Psycannon is the correct choice.

10 purifiers - 5 Halberds, 4 psycannons, 1 sword

10 purifiers - 5 falchions, 5 Halberds

10 Purifiers is enough, you don't need 20 of them. I'd also drop all the upgrades out, Purifiers just get more expensive not better. Taking them down to one squad means you can fit them all in one Raven. Combat squad so that when you hop out, you generate 4WC and you can double cast 'Cleansing Flame' for maximum hilarity. Don't forget to put a locator beacon on the Raven, so they don't scatter when they hop out. Alternatively, risk waiting a turn, then go into Hover mode and use the Assault Ramp to charge them at something.

Heavy Support - 480

Land raider redeemer

Nope nope nope nope nope nope nope

Drop them both, get Dreadknights. Two of them. Greatsword, teleporter, heavy psycannon. Second gun is optional.

At 1500 this is what I'd be running;

Nemesis Strikeforce

HQ:

Librarian w/hammer, Liber

(140 points)

Librarian w/falchions

(110 points)

Elites:

Flame Knight w/sword, 9x Purifiers w/swords

(250 points)

Troops:

Justicar w/sword, 2x Terminators w/sword+psycannon, Terminator w/hammer, 6x Terminators w/sword

(380 points)

Fast Attack:

Raven w/twin multi-melta, twin assault cannon, locator beacon

(210 points)

Heavy Support:

(2) Dreadknight w/greatsword, heavy psycannon, teleporter

(205 points each)

1500 points exactly

With the savings, I got you another Librarian and another 5 Terminators.

Malach,

The questions I would ask you:

- Is this competitive or friendly?

- What format of game is this? IE: Maelstrom? Etc?

- Are there any reasons for including certain models like; all halbreds? 2 x Landraiders? So many purifiers?

Darius gives you a good list. It's the standard. You'll hear it everytime, and search the armylist section and see a zillion lists built on the foundation of: Termies/Libbies/Dreadknights.

But, if you own these two landraiders, and want to have some fun with them, I understand that. I include less than 'optimum' units because I definitely like to challenge myself, perhaps use a model I just painted, or just change it up... But if you're doing it to kick butt, that's a hard road to go down.

IMHO only Dark Angels have a real chance of pulling it off simply because of PFG on a biker/techmarine. Even then it's putting a lot of faith in the dice....

On the Halberds, they start to add up for a while. Skipping all the mathhammer for a second, the odd one for point filler is what I'd recommend. However, once again, if you own these models and they have to be WYSIWYG, then so be it.  They might be situational, but they can have some merit now and then.... but not in that kind of bulk.

That many Purifiers.... is a lot of points that is kind of losing effect after repeating it too much. They aren't like Dreadknights... the more you take the better. After a while I think you may experience diminishing returns and just having good ol' Termies to hop in really helps. I even use Interceptors.
