Emperor's Furor
I read Mechanicum a while ago now and was planning to re-reading it but I'm considering getting the audio rather than read it again. Has anyone done else done this? Read a book and later on got the audio instead of going over it again? SteelPaladin
Yep. Most recently with Legion. There were quite a few details that I had either not noticed, or forgot since I first read it. I go on 10 hour + drives a few times a year, and these audios are perfect for those trips. The Red Thirst
Only done this with Horus Rising. If you have the money its a good way to "re-read" a novel with bothering at have at actually read it haha Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/306174-read-a-book-then-got-the-audio/#findComment-4009663 Share on other sites
SickSix
Audio books are the perfect thing to listen to while modelling. I want to get the first 3 Horus Heresy audio books but they are expensive and not on Audible which I am subscribed to. And yes I have read those books already. Petitioner's City
Prospero Burns is a gorgeous audio book - it just works so well as a read aloud experience. And the audio of Salvation's Reach was excellent, with distinctive accents for the Tanith, Vervumhivers and Belladon - it would be nice if more BL audios did that to suggest the inter-cultural nature of the Imperium. I was really sad Pariah didn't have an audio after I read it - more so, I was looking forward to BL's first female-narrated book.
