Hi!

So I have been here for couple of years but i don't post much.. But now i would like some help from you guys..

I need some inspiration for my Wolves..

I makinghttp://cdncache-a.akamaihd.net/items/it/img/arrow-10x10.png them in "true-scale" (terminator legs) and i need ideas and toughts how TWC would fit in becuse regular TWC are too small for true-scale.. I was thinking maybe some stormfiend as Wolfen/werewolves TWC count-as or something else.. what do you think?

I also would like to see some alternative colors so post some pics and Ideas! =)

Let me see some true-scale Space Wolves too!

Take a look at my WIP =)

Looking good. I think you will be well served with Skin Wolves from FW or Warp Wolves from PP as Werewolves for your TWC. Failing that, there is Mournfang Cav (mounted by SW) or Chaos Knights if you do not mind using horses.

Bear Cav from Scibor might also be an option, but I dislike their molds so I am hesitant to recommend it. YMMV.

Sorry if I've misunderstood here, but why not just do true scale TWC? You don't need to use terminator bits. Veteran Sergeant has some good examples in his thread of 'simply' using plasticard inserts/GS to bulk up Marines. The Wolves themselves may be an issue, but you could bulk them up the same way with card and green stuff.

@Immerstrum The skin wolves are really good looking. but the problem with those and other werewolves models is that they dont look like having BS4 and can us a bolter.. If i gonna maka werewolf/wulfen thunderwolves they got too look like thay can use a bolter for example. So i was thinking of maybe do some type of wulfen like the old 13th company wulfen but bigger.. haven't thought out all the details yet... Mournfang are a good alternative but the heads are too cartoon looking.. maybe use some chaos warhounds heads on them and thay will look better...

@Leif Bearclaw I don't think i have the skills too True-scale a Thunderwolves.. the marines are no problem but the wolves are hard to do.. but i have some thunderwolves so i think i gonna give it a shoot..

@rgr_maddog Thanks! but you wouldn't be stealing it from me... i stole it from someone else ;)

Thanks for all the input and ideas guys!

Well, Consider that in some rare cases the Marine keeps his sanity when transforming, like Bran Redmaw. And those Tyranid bugger also tend to shoot quite well :D

And you generally do not want to give TWC Bolters. They are not Relentless and you will give up the charge for two S4 shots? Not wise.

Ultimately, this is 40k. The universe where genericallhy enigeered super humans wearing half a tank can shrug off rocket-propelled grenades because some guy waves around a cup that remind them of their dead super daddy who was killed by their special super uncle.

I say a giant Wolf man can figure out a Bolter if he finds the patience :D

So tonight i hade little time too test some ideas.. And i found an old Thunderwolf i made of a juggernaut when there were no thunderwolves.
and i also found my very old "wolf" ;) this one i have had for a long time, And yes i tought about making it to a thunderwolf
but it is really big!

anyway let me explain some things...

this is why i want too make bigger wolves or something else to represent thunderwolves.. they are to small for true-scale..

this is a comparison between my old TWC and the new one..

And if you put them next too a True scale SW, I think the old one is better in size then the new. So im considering buffing up the new thunderwolves with som GS too get the same size as the old.
and put a chaos warhound head on it.

wolves... they come in all sizes...

mmmmm... yeah its too big...

this is another thing i tought about, puting the rider and wolves beside eachother.. now i got my jumping priest on the base but i gonna make him a Lord insted if i go with this..

Im not sure how too do Terminators... I want some Void claws but it is the legs that conserns me.. And im not gonna use Centrurion legs! :P
