Hey guys,

By now I'm sure you've seen/heard about the board game coming out.

If not, here is Atia's post on the upcoming board game which definitely isn't a rumour anymore... it's real.: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/303600-rumours-assassinorum-execution-force/

Here are pics from the thread showing 3 of the models. I've seen the 4th one... the Celuxus (Sp?) he looks cool with grenades hanging from him and his big fat anti-psyker head. :)

These are multi part plastics with Chaos models included as well as the board game.

I can't say I'll play the board game but I'm definitely picking up the box as these sculpts are just amazing imo. I feel this is a very "Inquisition / GK" thing to try out, so what the heck.

I'd advise if you're going to get it to look out for it early. I have a feeling this is going to be another one those sell out things. Anyone else picking one up?

(I've seen one batrep where a guy uses all of them, but I've only used one at a time.) With the box I hope to field them all, perhaps in pairs just for experimentation. But great for Apoc/mega battles!

The sculpts are amazing and I especially like the dynamic on the Eversor and the Callidus but I already own every assassin in metal and I don't see me spending a hundred bucks on 4 miniatures and a boardgame I have no interest in whatsoever. The rumours I read were saying that the sculpts will be available separately so I'll just hope thats true and get mine later on.

Looks pretty neato. I'm keen to see if the board game is fun. Looks like another quality production like Space Hulk. I love the Assassin models, and the very high probability this is an Execution Force :)

As for rules, keen to see what's changed. Maybe this time the Culexus won't be brutally OP and outshine the others ;)

Oh okay. I'm okay with that, the other three are all usable to some extent. Have they updated the Execution Force rules per chance? They're an Apoc formation currently and kinda out of date with a lot of the references (it was written in 6th when Assassins were still in the 5th edition GK codex).

It has "Erzfiend(Kriegsherr)", which literally means Archenemy(Warlord). I'm guessing this is Preferred Enemy.

It also has "Tötungsoperation" which basically means "Killing Operation". It gives you an extra VP if the enemy warlord is removed from play due to a wound from a model in the formation.

Culexus is probably going to be the silver bullet for murdering Eldar. He ruins Farseers and Warlock Covens, which takes a lot of the strength out of the list. He can also tie up a Wraithknight fairly well.

As a stand-alone the culexus is the star. If you can get invisibility then the eversor could have your opponent in fits and at the least he should soak up ridiculous amounts of firepower.

I have tried the Eversor. The funny thing is most people I play with my Grey Knights.... most hug the back table making infiltration a real bugger. It's kind of annoying but opponent's are so afraid of me in close combat, I'm always playing the game leaned over to their edge of the table. lol

So as a result the Eversor, using infiltration rules, seems to always end up deployed in no man's land and thus far he's just given up really fast First Blood if I'm not ultra conservative with him. I had one game where I was going against a fast Eldar army. He had nowhere to go.... he ended up watching an objective marker for me in my zone... ugh.

I pre-ordered the new box. I doubt I'll play the game but the new Assassin Sculpts are AMAZING. Looking on the GW website, I admit wholeheartedly that I am stupid enough to try fielding all of them... in one game! And see what happens. lol

Yea I hear you. I think with GK I spend 80% of my game on my opponent's side getting real intimate like.... When you want to introduce someone to your Halbred, it's best to practice good hygiene. :)

Assassins I imagine will just add to that.

The new pics are great. I'm glad I pre-ordered, I just have a gut feeling this will be gone. I will say the Chaos stuff is really disappointing. I have all of those models, and I imagine they will just be common sprues, even of the Termie Sorc.

I had just picked up the Finecast Eversor. Somewhere along the line I sold off all my metal assassins.

Amazing timing on this as I was about to order the rest for ETL. Which reminds me I'll have to update my ETL to do list. :)

I probably jumped the gun with the preorder. Call me insane but perhaps this is because I'm reading the full Ben Counter GK Omnibus but it feels like an Inquisitor/GK thing to field these guys.

I imagine in large games taking all of them as their own detachment with the special rule of getting bonus VP for killing opponent warlords with the Assassin(s). A cool, fluffy bonus.

I went to a LHS here that carries netstore only stuff quite frequently (looking for Draigo actually) and they had the new assassin box set opened up with the new models out, they look fantastic!! I really like the Callidus one.  They had the finecast Vindicare so I bought that .. but after seeing the contents of the box, it's a pretty good value for $130.  The four assassin models are insane and awesome, and it comes with the Terminator lord sprue, plus a bunch of cultists (I don't like the ones I have) and then some chaos marines.   If I cant get my wife to play the board game with me it might be worth purchasing the setup for the models alone :)
