Scribe
Is this right? I take a Mechanicum army from Book 3, and can ally in a Styrix or Magaera Knight as the Allied Troop, with the Allied HQ as Archmagos Draykavac? I'm looking to keep it to 1 Knight in the list, but it looks to be the only way to get a Styrix or Magaera? Dark Bjoern
I think no. Why do you ask? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/306546-quick-mechanicum-question/#findComment-4017754 Share on other sites
Nakuth
AFB, but I recall that the Taghmata list can ally with the Legio Cybernetica & Ordo Reductor lists. That's in Book 3. As Conquest, and the Questoris Knights list came out after, it isn't mentioned. Sadly, there is no clarification of this in Conquest. I would like to say yes, as it would make sense, but at this time, I think you can only take Knights as a Lord of War choice. That limits you, currently, to the 3 options presented in the Lords section of the Taghmata list in Book 3. Krikey
Also in book 3 -- Reaver, Warhound, Minotaur artillery tank, Falchion super-heavy tank (p. 202). Hesh Kadesh
I think no. Why do you ask? Knights are considered to be Mechanicum for the purposes for allies, so you cannot take Knight Crusade Army List with Mechanicum per RAW. Scribe
Thats not how it runs in 40K however, just to be clear, as Crimson Slaughter and Black Legion are Chaos for the purposes of Allies, but ARE able to cross ally. depthcharge12
I believe it was mentioned that if you play different lists (f'r'example reductor, Taghmata, or Cybernetica) you can ally them together. Can't quite remember where it was listed, but I'm pretty sure you can ally them together. Krikey
In book 3, p 202, it says that Legion Cybernetica and Taghmata Omnissiah are considered separate armies that may ally as sworn brothers. Unfortunately, there's no such entry in book 4 for Questoris Knights, at least that I can find. I think the intent is clear, but the fact that LC and TO alliances are specifically allowed might give some an argument against it. ~K Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/306546-quick-mechanicum-question/#findComment-4019190 Share on other sites

We're not playing 40K. We're playing by a different set of rules, however.
