Brother Heinrich
Hey everyone, Just wanted to see what everyone's opinion is on GW's Purity Seal. I'm looking for a rattle can varnish to help speed my army creation process. Right now I've been spraying a Vallejo gloss coat followed by a Vallejo matte coat through my airbrush and while effective, it takes a while. I really just want to be able to quickly batch coat mini's and know that they'll hold up to regular gaming well. Your input would be super appreciated, thanks! NovemberIX
Not used it myself, mainly because I've heard it's very very finicky, if it's not sprayed within it's specific sweet spot of temperature and humidity it'll frost, or so I hear. Brother Heinrich
Ah no bueno, last thing I want is any possibility of misting. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/306679-purity-seal-thoughts/#findComment-4020353 Share on other sites
Jacinda
Most of the problems with Purity Seal can be avoided if you shake the can well. very well. Get a clock and time it because you need to shake it at least 2 full minutes. Then of course don't spray on wet or cold days. I use a brush on matte varnish for protection and give the model a light cost of Purity Seal because I love the effect it gives me.
